Echolabs West, a nice brotherhood of scientist working together to discover the wonders of the universe. But when you go to far, there is no turning back...

In this game you will play as 3 different identities that link together in one fairly sized story.

You will start off as a lone scientist who is seeing over a project that could change the galaxy itself. Then, after the aftermath of a horrible side-effect, you will play as a rebel commander, 3 years later. You will then play as a Protection Unit Force Officer who has witnessed a new kind of war. These stories will all link together to create something bigger.

The MERCS (Mechanical Emperior Realm Conquer) await your blood... will you let them have it?


Slayer2 will be working on this with me.
(Don't worry, EOT is still operational.)

Well the grates were made by... well the name passes me but I have the license in here, I'll have to take a gander. I like the look of the first screen myself.

Also, this wasn't suppose to be a Half-Life re-make. The story goes beyond that.

Also the MERCS are not mercenaries. They are death bringing, fully armored, war lords who want to desolate Earth.

I have been receiving no comments here lately and this may be due to lack of showcase but in assurance, I'm here to tell you that more is on the way. Keep a check-up and tell me how the story sounds to you.
(Also I have found a way to simulate a "being drug away" effect.)

Well you shouldn't expect more. My Gone thread only had 283 posts with 10,576 views. Plus, your game has no custom media that I see from the screenshots. Just freebies and model packs. That's why you only have five posts (six now).

EDIT-7 and you posted a better example than mine on the thread count.
Indeed it looks very promising. If your going the custom texture rout, ide suggest going all out and making a custom hud to top things off. I'm not too keen on the name MERCS...unless it stands for something because it accually implies mercenaries. perhaps a bit more explaination of them is in order. As for 70 views and only a few comments-lol welcome to the forums. Thats how it goes here. its seen all over.15 post and 300 views is not uncommon around here,lol

Somehow my huds got all screwed up. I think I messed with them in the settings options. I intend to have no ammo hud and I'll post the hud I will most like use in new screenies. But for now I cannot for sadly I am away from home.

I don't like the second screenshot. Too much contrast. And the first one. Why would there be a generic looking car in a place called Sector 1?

Your right. I actually ment to put a humvee in there. I must have been at a loss of mind. Also there is a door for the car to pull through out of the shot. And I didn't like the green crap anyways. I'm removing and having a black pit underneath it.

I just checked out cheesecakes thread where you were saying how great his media would go in your game (and trying to push this thread in the process).

First, his media wouldn't fit your game at all. This is Very scifi, and his stuff had a more gritty, post nuclear vibe.

Second, nobody is posting because there is nothing to suggest. There are only so many times that a human can be bothered to type

"Well, the lighting is good, but you need to do something more origianl, because that media is getting over used"

because after a while you just start to think, perhaps if I juist ignore him, he'll do something more impressive.

I respect you Butters but you didn't read the introduction. This is a 3 story game. The first chapters you're a scientist who is overseeing a secret project in the facility. In the second one you play as a rebel who strolls the streets of the city that houses Echolabs and such. The streets are war torn because the MERCS have destroyed it all. In the third part you play as a Protection Unit Force officer who is deep in the heart of MERC activity, "abandoned" (as he thinks but they are all dead) by his team who plays a big role in the main story.
Each character plays a key role in the destruction of the MERCS.

I'm also updating my screenshots.

the hud is to far left, move it over a bit so u get all the hud in the screen

Yeah, about that. Everytime I try, it ends up screwing it up and not follow the specific commands I had given it. I will be updating the screenshots soon. I am looking to invest in X10 and a new computer. Then I will port this title and make signfigant changes to everything to push X10 to its limits and push this project into the next gen era.
But this will be the X9 version.

the only problem is that hardly anyone has DX10 compatible pc's. So you should make this game DX9 and DX10 but have it exactly the same

I have a masterplan for this. The game I have always dreamed about since Half-Life could not be possible until X10 was born. I tend to create this version and sell it. But when I get X10, this game is getting a gutting for its money and I'm going to take on a next gen version that will focus more over on the Protection Unit Force. I will name it, ECHOLABS: NEXTGEN. This will feature a squad based game that allows you to play in maps similiar to this game.

It has great stuff. I think it was in the industry pack.

I don't have any new screenshots yet. I'm working out a lag area with a framerate of 2. I think It's because of a room I didn't add ceiling to. That always slows it down major when I forget the ceiling.

Scratch all this. I've come to reality and realized ife is more than games and play. I can't afford a new computer and X10 looks way to cool and beats me dead. All the other games beat me so bad and I just lack in imagination. GAME TERMINATED.

Yeah, this idea is terminated. Sorry, I was depressed when I typed the one before. Girl problems and stress got to me real good.

I'm pre-planning a better storyline.
We're going to re-do a lot of aspecs. That is if I can get someones okay on something.
