I just finished Lost Planet : Extreme Condition. Absolutely incredible, the story, the guns, the VSs, the multiplayer and especially the final fight. Loved every level of it.

What does everyone else think of it?

Played it a while ago, I really liked the fact that you were always running out of "health" for your thermal energy, I thought the story was fresh and new. It was a truly great game, last fight was a big change from combat throughout the rest of the game and it works so well, you can take that guy down in about five slashes I think. Beat it once then played through it again, absolutely loved it.

Yeah, I never thought it would go so well, I did read some bad reviews to start with though

The single player was alright for me, but I really dont like the multiplayer. In the beginning it took me ages to figure out where the data posts were, let alone survive all of the pro's constantly killing you before you had a chance to get your barrings. I'm a little better now but its definitely not one of my preffered games for Live. Single player seemed too easy to me, the end boss alone was easier than some of the enemies fought beforehand. IIRC he barely touched me. (No, I wasnt on easy, I think I was on intermediate or difficult). There really should be a matchmaking option for live, I dont see it being too fair that every room I go into is full of level 70s - 99s, and I'm the only level 4 or 5 there.

I've got it on pc and 360 and the pc version seems to be more difficult, but there aren't so many really high level guys, so its good.

Unfortunately you have to use it with Steam, that requires you to have to update it from time to time involuntarily, and it has a huge starting download.

I must admit it did take me a while to get the hang of multiplayer. i seemed to be shoving rockets into people and dying by bullets shortly after repeatedly, usually by the same person. I find the best way is to get a plasma rifle and just sniper from an insanely impossible to reach ledge, providing of course the pros don't shoot you down first.
