Here's a preliminary shot of The Tickle People Themselves. I'm going for a creepy/cartoony look. After all, the enemies in this game are projections of an evil super computer hell bent on watching you struggle for survival for it's own enjoyment.

i dont think he did, as the numbers at the bottom go over the immages.

What ever happened to Pencil Whipped 2?
Its been a long time since you've been on these forums.
All in all looking forward to this new game and its weirdness.
You definately have unique concepts for making First Person Games with FPSC.

By this time now, TGC has made FPSC a little more stable than it was a couple of years ago. So in that case maybe your games may run a little smoother and faster. Of course you may already know that you still have to be wise on how you design your levels so you can have descent frame rates.

Really creative. I expected something really gay in this thread but this looks great! Reminds me of the N64 games!

Right now the characters are actually skins on a square model for concept and visual testing, I put them in to see if they would look good in game. They will be fully modeled and animated. I've already started that. See screen

Thanks, I'll keep em coming as I go along. Here's a bit of info.

The people of this world seemed to discover much technology before the super computer destroyed all of them. The evidence lies in a wonderful device I've discovered called "The Son of a bitch 5000"

It allows you to instantly transport from one area to another over great distances. It seems to scan every molecule in your body and assign an address to it so that when you get to the other destination it can re-construct your body, essentially making traveling by foot moot.

...Unfortunately, as I discovered, because of technical limitations of the device, the transportation chamber at the starting point is only 2 X 2 feet in size. After the device scans your entire body and equipment, it violently chops you up like a blender in a most horrific manner and shoves the mush into the chamber. You come out whole and intact at the other end. It's a fast way to travel for sure, but boy..it's a son of a bitch!

Looks cool. Those clown like enemies seem to have large delays in their attacks. Have you considered speeding up the process? Also, will there be custom weapons like in Pencil Whipped?

This is one of the best FPSC games I've seen, no joke. So original, such a funny and simple story. 10/10 so far, it's like someone's psychotic drug experience.

looks very nice
I love the idea of your painted enemies...
I also fiddled with simple 2dimensional planes (with transparent texture), but your painting style is much funnier, anyway it fits into FPSC and the story of your game.

Keep up the good work

I'm still fiddling with the scripts I wrote. I'm using a random number to decide when an attack happens. Your right, it needs to be more often.

Horry Gorry is on the waiting table right now. I'm waiting to see what Dark AI has in order before I go any further (which if I read right is going to be in a future upgrade). I'm looking for some more complex situations in the game, and if its going to be easier, I'd rather wait. But this TP game is just a good old shooter and the current scripting is just fine for that. I am however using my ghost from HG in this game. He looks cool what with his transparency and all.

As far as weapons, as the story line goes, this evil super computer can read your mind to some extent, so obviously the weapons would be modern earth like weapons. *cough* model pack 9 and or 10 *cough* which I have yet to buy (they look too cool not to use). This might change though.

If you want the original PW without all the file planet sign up crap, here's a direct link from my site.

Yeah, I thought I might change them a bit, make them look kind of screwy, like the computer didn't get them just right after reading your mind, and have the player give her crap about it out loud. Maybe the chamber and shells are HUGE for instance, or the barrels are bulged or the stock is made of stone, stuff like that.

...but then again, maybe back years ago when the original accident happened a bunch of military firearms got sucked through, and she has exact replications ready to go.

All your work reminds me of the good old days of the 64 and the Playstation 1... the time where Zelda ruled the land, Solid Snake was everyones hero, and Banjo Kazooie kicked everyones arse! And Goldeneye was the best shooter ever. Don't forget that! Goldeneye revolutionized the FPS genre!

Yeah, I love(d) Goldeneye. It's a shame FPSC doesn't allow flak weapons in multiplayer. I'd love to make some multi maps with rocket launchers, grenades, proximity mines, remote mines (though FPSC doesn't have remote/proximity mine type weapons) etc. or a CTF or base capture type game. But we could make "Golden Gun" maps, one shot kill.

Or if you just want the golden gun in a level, but not all guns 1 shot kill, just make it have 1000 damage. That way you could have other guns too
