Ok. There have been one or two threads about projectiles that don't explode. I've been reading some stuff in the blaster, and Rick said:
Quote: "I would like to see this weapon fire a small high speed projectile (Energy bolt?) that is visible from gun to target with an intense light-source attached, if not too much of a drain on the engine.
"

Any ideas?

Only if you create a custom decal.

It would have to be an animation of the spark going from the bottom right to the bottom left, and would have to be lined up perfectly. and then you would need to change the normal light of yellow to blue.

I'm not sure how to add in a blue light where the enemy is, unless you had the enemies standing underneath blue dynamic lights that flicked on when the enemy died. You could also change the hit decal from lood to blue puff. I might try this.

Realistic laser or any kind of particle beam type weapons are out of the question at the moment. There is just no support for them in the engine.

The suggestion of a high intensity light beam might be possible I guess if someone has the ability too impliment it. Not an easy task for anyone I would think

Decals are a hopeless approach to the subject at the current level of decal support which is very primitive.
