Like the title says this is Final Fantasy X type battle engine..

It may be not perfect but i try to get it closest as i can get.

ZP Particle plugin creator what im now using as placeholder

How can you help?

You can help me by testing this and finding bugs for me.
And giving me suggestion what i can do better on source (Altrough you may not understand it yet)..

Other notes!

For compiling you need ZP Particle plugin,
Matrix1Utils plugin and Cloggys D3D plugin!

And if your FPS is too high just modify the sync rate on source!

If you got proplems that Exe isnt responding/working properply try chaning the "While 1 Endwhile" -loops to normal "Do Loop" -loops

Interesting but no flashy screenies. Not enough meat on the bone. You have a 1 to 10 post ratio, mine is about 1 to 30 on SGT, Play Basic have about 1 to 25. You get used to it.

Im working now on grapchis engine called Mora engine

Im going to add little field where you can run and go into random battles..

You can add trees and other diffrent objects with Mora map editor and then load it into Mora engine!

I have made really good culling system so you can have huge woods with good fps
I get fps of 32 on my crappy comp and my friend gets over 100

Also it uses instancing what increases fps more!

Ill post screen of mora engine soon

So we see the field soon.

Just make sure that Mora Engine orginally started D-Eagle and its now our both project

As you can see hes good on 3d modelling like some of you know it already..

People are usually more interested in good looking art and cannot see potential in features. Well, a lot of people (me included) are too lazy to read a lot of text before they become very interested in a project.

Your shot is nice but it doesn't look like you have a long camera range, even though your models are very low detail (polygons and textures). Are you making this in DBC?

Yes the camera range can be increased Wont get noticable FPS Drop.. But the camera range and Fog range in that scene is working good...

Heres new screen..

After of 20 minutes of battling ( Yes thats huge time )

I lost to enemies when they all got soulbreak .. They really owned me.. I got bored and made little change to my char stats.

I gave them soulbreak at start and started owning the enemies

You may ask me what the heck 20 minutes!?

Its because i still have so low level attacks and multiple enemies gives you more time on battling



You see the act list has gone really buggy

I think i just froze the actlist for while...

I would next step into magic and other effects.. But AES isnt ready so i just step into other Grapchics..

Also i add more attacks and go into summon creatures

Okay!

I ve got pretty much things finished already

New command menu
just press right and the second command menu comes up and left you get back to the frist command menu.. Like in FFX

I've Got items working I will implent function GiveItem(id,amount) and id=SearchItem(name$) if you want to search the item id by name

Also im gonna implent some flashing and etc grapchichal stuff on animation system. Basically you type on object animation file like this.

Flashs=2
Flash1=125
Flash2=25

And if animation system hits those frames it will flash screen

Im gonna use this on sounds aswell

Theres some other stuff i have worked out too but they arent so important for now..

Oh and im now going to wait until the AES is ready because i want to work out on my effects system but i cant without AES.. So ill need to wait And do something other things that while.

Yes you can use this sytem if you give credit

And no i dont need models thanks I want to learn model myself but you can add your models on your battle system

You can add the new enemys easily.. If you go into mobs folder you see the dwarf folder go there and open data file.

There is all animation data and other things

If you are real programmer then you will understand what is going on

So just make data file for your model aswell and make new folder for your datafile and model on mobs folder..

Then just modify the source and add it into game

But i can upload the newest version soon.

(dang still no news of the AES Creator..)

Yes this is my 15th rewrite of my rpg

Really goodway to learn to code better and that stuff..

I got the battle system on really few lines when i have learned new things :p

But now i started my rewrite on battle engine

Because its the most intresting stuff i need for my game and it takes time to finish so i started with it..

And i have some good news!!

If i dont hear any news of the AES creator on these 2 days ill start making the summon creatures and other things to finish

Then if i still do not hear of him.. ill maybe make my own effect system ( And im bad at this kind of stuff :/ )

If the battle system is slow for you.. dont worry!! I will optimize it when its ready and i already know many things that i can speed up (hopefully!)

Ok im now pissed off..
Ive heard nothing AGAIN of this Advanced Effect Editor..
So i start tomorrow my own one and make it so that it supports my needs... Anyways i've added summons in engine but there is some bugs on them still.

After this all is done i might make "Battle Editor" wich allows you to add own models customize them, add events in battle other stuff with rpg maker like GUI.. And effect editor will come with.

Im pretty sure im gonna give that free but if i can produce some really nice quality i maybe give it little price..

Oh and im thinking of making level editor too
For battle maps and any of your dbpro projects.

Also i have Cutscene Editor with own scripting system. The Scripting system is already 10% done and supports variables etc..

Just telling everyone that im done of waiting
