Hi all,

After a long hiatus this summer(My first job didn't allow for the programming time I was used to ) I'm finally back to continue Battle Legacy. To Recap, Battle Legacy is a online third person shooter and has been in progress on and off for more then a year.

About 5 months ago, I decided to scrap the code I had worked on for so long in favor of starting cleanly, and with Benjamin's tempest plug in at the core of it Id say things turned out much better then they were.

So, Ive not done much recently, except make Battle Legacy compatible with Vista as its now my Primary OS. Here are a few screens and videos of the game mechanics in action:

Videos:

Also, you can learn more from the past thread found here

I hope to do a test soon to see how well the online stuff will work with vista, so if your interested, please let me know. Cheers,

SageTech

Believe me, all the pretty stuff comes last, its getting the main underlying game engine working that matters to me right now. However, I thought Id show the game running in pretty pretty vista:

Also, I'm open to run a test from now until about 8PM EST, so if your interested, let me know, and Ill upload the latest build.

'add' was in your sentence, so you kinda implied that you were saying to add them

No worries, it was my fault too.

SagaTech, if you still need me to test, ill be available tomorrow.

Alright, I'm in the middle of putting game listing in, so no more messing with IP addresses. Ill either be ready to test in a few hours or tomorrow (I'll be up till around 2, so chances are something will get tested tonight). Thanks for the help,

SageTech

Looks promising. I like the idea of a 3rd person online shooting game. I bet this will be really fun to play.

Ok, sorry I haven't given an update in almost a week, but I'm still adjusting to high school life, leaving little time to code. I did manage to get a dodgy Game Selection system running, But for some reason it just would NOT cooperate with my Game, so its gone, and I'm back to typing stuff in manually for now.

I DID just get parts for my server, So Ill probably get that configured and have a go at the game selecting again in a week or two. Until then, its tweaking the main game engine and adding some core things that never got put in.

I have tweaked everything so that the menus and such should run flawlessly at any resolution, instead of a forced 1024x766 resolution at all times.

Lastly, I was planning to do a Test right now if anyones intrested, so please, let me know, cheers!

Damn it requires DarkPhysics drivers

And i can't remmber you IP by the time I get to the enter IP screen.

Can you run it in a window or embed the ip in the client or read the text file?
