Geek Culture / how do I import texture to 3ds max?

Sorry I gona have to be a bit cheeky here and say... you'd think for a $3500 product they could at least give you a manual

Maybe File->Import or Material Editor -> New -> Load

Not sure it's been a long time since i used it and it was v2 back then, you might get a better answers in 3D chat

Press "M" to open material editor, click 2x one of the spheres, select basic material (or sth like that), find where you set "diffuse" set there sth like "image/bitmap" and find your texture.
Not sure about this, because I'm not on my PC.

you know I really hate when some one says that I see questions about 3ds max and I knew someone was gonna say this! I Have a trial and I am going to get borrow a full one from a friend soon and just started to learn 3ds max

importing a texture/material in 3D Max is one of the earliest things covered in the manual. Shall I tell you what page number it's on? Also, a simple google search would've provided an answer.
