Hi I'm looking for a way to position an object (sphere) on a corner of the screen but maintaining it's spherical form. (I know that in reality it's not the form that changes, only the object perspective toward the camera)

Are you saying you want an object not to be distorted by the FOV? I think you could change it with the FOV command to get the look you want.

Create the sphere, get image, use image as texture on plain.

How about an animated texture?

render the sphere centered and rotating to a series of pics or a avi then map that series of pics or the avi to the plane...

Maybe try to cams? one for normal view and one for a 2d rendered view. Again not sure how it apply to your game.

Try moving it "locked" a certain distance from cam so it doesn't get clipped. Also check camera range's near value for an acceptable setting.
