Well I went down to Target to see if I could pick up Final Fantasy one for the PSP because it looks fun but to my dismay it was thirty dollars and i'm not about to shell out thirty bucks for it so does anyone know of any cool free RPGs like the first Final Fantasy for the PC? Like a 2D turn based thing and a cool story.

How come whenever I type free RPG into google it always come up with MMORPG? If I wanted the MMO part I would have typed it...

I recommend Tales of Pirates from IGG.

Or

Metin 2 from G4box.

Both are completely free, but are MMO's. They still have story lines, just not as intense as FF.

Metin 2 is still in beta, but is cool nonetheless.

There's a whole community of rpg makers making 2d rpg games similar to the old NES/SNES rpg's. there's thousands of them.
