Newcomers DBPro Corner / Direct X Error?

hey all

I have download DirectX_Dec2005_Redis then when I run Roadterrain and I go directx error saying

" DirectX 8.1b Installed. Requires DirectX 9.c(December 2005)"

I am missing somethings?
