The file probably has alot of frames. On a side but relevent note: I think that you have misunderstood variables. as# only stores the value. Lets just say the animation speed was 6. If you set as# equal to the animation speed then as#=6. Then when you set as# equal to 1000 then as#=1000 and the animation speed is still 6. To change the animation speed you need to use the set animation speed command. Sorry if that comfuses you.

play round with the 'set object speed' command, or the sync rate.
hope that helped

Animation Speed only returns a value, it cannot be changed. Set Object Speed is the way to go, here's the code.

Ok, that kinda helps. Actually, the whole animation is six seconds long, and i plan to add larger animations to it that are around 2 minutes long . Although the filesize might have something to do with it...

Yes it is, DBP doesn't care about the case of a letter. VaRiAbLe and variable and VARIABLE are all the same

Erm, the filesize is 600 MB, and it is a six-second .avi. I THINK that that may be the problem, lol. Mostly because it looks like a crappy, laggy game. And it runs the same speed no matter how high i set th Ani speed. at 4000 it just went fast, stopped, went fast, stopped, through all 200 frames.

Wow, yeah, I think you may want to compress that by about 1/100th of it's current size.
