As I am getting rid of my (rubbish) TV and getting a card to connect Wii to PC, I have moved my Wii. However, due to limited desk space, it is next to a speaker no matter where I put it. Consequently, every time a controller connects or it looks for a wi-fi network (frequent, this one, seeing as I don't have one at the minute), I am subjected to "buzz-buzz-buzz-buzz". I don't even get peace when it's switched off because WiiConnect24 is constantly trying to do stuff it can't! Is there some kind of shielding I can place between Wii and speaker to put a halt to this?

short of shielding your wii in a metal box, i think you're out of luck. You gotta move it around.

Of course you could turn off WiiConnect 24, and update stuff manually

Doesn't stop the controllers making buzz. I've solved it by blu-tacking the speakers to the wall.
