Hi all, i have been browsing the site and forums for sometime but have only registered today as had nothing valuable to add

My quick question is, is it worth my investing a great deal of my time over the next year or so on programming with DBPro if my overall intensions are to move into console games ?

I am thinking that it is as the actual process of game creation is the same.

Sorry if it seems a silly question

Also as the games will work on any DirectX7 or above PC would it be a huge task to get games to work on the X-Box as this also uses DirectX.

Many Thanks

Jeff

Welcome!
If you believe Raven and his insightful ramblings , then it is worth learning DBPro if you are interested in console gaming as he is developing a DBPro-using console called the nFinity. To find out about this project go here:

As for the XBOX, I don't know but my best guess would be not on your nelly!

Thanks for the quick reply guys, much appreciated.

Had a quick look at the nFinity stuff but not convinced it will ever happen ! I would think it more likely that someone would develop some sort of code converter or something to allow the games to play on the various different systems. Hey if i can spare a few years I might

Cheers

Jeff
