Hi I've been searching the forums and I'm trying show damage on a Character By changing their texture. I've Seen the entity damage using respawn which Is very cool.
Here's the link:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=94456&b=24

But I'd really like to change the texture related to damage. ie: my enemy has a nice clean uniform and after I shoot them they have a bloodied uniform.

Is it possible? or can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanx G.

FYI I'm using FPSC

i have been wanting to find out the same thing, was planning on making a ship, and when you shoot it it looks damaged/on fire.

make the ship add 1 add one texture to it then make an alt texture that is destroyed and make it have health then when it has a certain amount of health it will go to alt texture

Create the bloodied / damaged / burned texture for your entity / character then edit it's properties (right click entity in FPSC map editor) then set the 'alt' texture to the location for that texture. The 'alt' texture field can be found beneath the default texture field.

Your entity / character will change from the default texture to the alt texture as soon as you have destroyed it.

Thanks Nomad Soul,

Is it possible to change the texture before you have detroyed it.

And can you use more than 2 textures?

ie:
No damage = Clean uniform
Small damage = Slightly bloodied uniform
Half damage = Very bloodied Uniform
Destroy = Uniform with bloodied flesh showing

any advice??

thanks G.
