Is it just me? And does making a website dedicated to her make me even geekier? For those who don't know who I'm talking about ...... http://susiedent.awardspace.com

Now if you'd excuse me, I have some old episodes of Countdown to watch.

The answer to your question will have to be dealt with in five distinct stages: Denial, Bargaining, Anger, Despair, Acceptance.

Yes.

Umm, no, not a geek. A person with certain tastes, yes. But whatever floats your boat.

Mud wrestling.

(Just thought it'd be nice to have Susie Dent, Carol Vorderman and mud wrestling all mentioned in the same thread.)

Never heard of her or the TV show, but good luck with your site anyway

I'd say that makes you a student, which is a little worse than a geek - it's all good though, I mean I like Minnie Driver and she has a head shaped like a 50 pence piece.

Countdown just ain't the same since Whitely went toes up.

I don't know what to say! Does your new missus know about this obsession? Does she know that when you are "working" on your PC, you are crafting websites dedicated to other women?

Quote: "Susie also regularly beats the contestants in their quest to find words from a random selection of nine letters within the allocated 30 seconds"

You do know, don't you, that there is someone sat at a PC in the gallery, feeding her the answers? I've been to watch Countdown being filmed (did I just say that in public?), and they readily confess to this.

I have seen the love of your life in action, furiously flicking through a dictionary in a way only she can. Personality-wise, she's much nicer than Carol Vorderman. I used to like CV until I saw what she is like off-camera. Richard Whiteley was the ultimate nice-guy, chatting with the audience, telling stories and the like. Carol comes on, does her stuff and goes. Won't talk to anyone.

I figured that they used a PC to get the best answer. Never really taken any notice of Susie Dent, because she is in the same room as Carol vorderman... but the mud wrestling is a good idea.

Ahh ... Miss Dent

She most definitely has a certain quality about her. She is the type of woman that is not instantly attractive and yet becomes more so every time you see her.

I'm not at the obsessive state of making a website dedicated to her (yet) but I absolutely understand why you are

Now I'm off to peruse your website ....

[Edit] In the biography section you have susie's birthday as 21st september 1967 which would make her 39 (for another two weeks) but in the 'susie stuff' section there is a quote from CV stating that Susie is a fellow forty something! An error with your biography or petty jealousy from CV?

She's got potential. Smart and she got a nice face. Whether or not she's really fit or not is kind of up in the air. You can't see what's going on underneath the desk. She could be wearing flip-flops for all i know.

I saw a guy wearing white flip flops playing pool in the pub the other day. Ugg I hate man-flops.

You should have glassed him. I hate flops in all their flavours. Man flops, woman flops. The worst are birkenstoks, but i'd rather not think about that. Basically, you can only get away with it if you accesorise them with a cape and a mohawked helmet, and shout things like "This is Spartaaa" a lot and kick people into holes.

Making a website about her DOES make you a geek!
There's nothing wrong with liking Susie Dent; she's quite attractive and you have the added bonus that she can spell

In programming, nothing exists

If she can have her fantasies about Patrick Stewart, then I can have mine about Susie! Hmm ... now that's got me thinking about Susie in a Star Trek uniform ....

Yes I just realised that too ... I'm not sure which is correct. She said once on Countdown that she a sheep in the Chinese calender, which would make her 39. I think she looks about 39 too, so I'm sticking with that until she emails me to the contrary!

I agree, I used to watch it every day (yes I am a student) but now I flick it on, see if good ol carol is wearing anything sexy and then usually turn it off again.

For the people who really concentrated on looks:
Theres more to a woman than the looks alone.

She does have a certain charm about her, she is an attractive lady, but in a more devious, sneak around youcatchyouwhileyourbacksturned way.

No kidding man. But I don't mind the lookers either.

All I know is, at the end of the day, I'd rather be with a nice girl than a hot one whose a jerk.

Yes, there is nothing you can do about flip-flops. Terrible affliction. I can handle missing legs though. Just spin 'em.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing
