Hi All!
If you played my previous games you'll know I'm a huge fan of racing games (especially futuristic racing ones! )

Now I'm developing a new classic 3d racing game, featuring used cars with boosted engines.
I just completed an Alpha version and here is the download page if you want to test it and tell me what you think:

Well, the collisions are not yet finetuned and the engine sound system is still a bit crazy at times, but you may play with some different cars on a complete track and try the time attack mode!
Enjoy!

Nice, but i notice your stearing system is annoying in every race game you made, it doesnt go further with an angle then a certain part. Which makes stearing in bends quite hard, and keeps you bumping into the side. Will this be fixed in this game?

Good point In fact that's an issue I'm already working on. Other players reported woody steer on G-speed, too, but there the speed was higher and I felt it was ok so.
While here with standard cars I kwnow I have to fix the steering function, the problem is that if the steer is too powerful the game would be too easy and too arcade... I'll try out something!

looks nice, but i can only assume the red+white bits at the side are rumble tracks? if so, they need to be a lot smaller. if not, i don't understand what they are, because they lok a lot like rumble tracks which makes the car look like a RC toy car.

looks good though!

Yes they are rumble tracks! Indeed this could be a toycar game, I have not decided yet

Just tried this and it's pretty fun.The steering needs to be tweaked (as has been pointed out) but I can still steer a bit.
Add a few more cars and some more tracks and you'll be set.
For a WIP I really enjoyed this.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

That looks great, plus it was fun to play around with.

Oh and the scale of the track and car seems off. Is it suppose to be like a remote control car?

And just a question what do you mean by:

Thank you all!

@Micophone: for "classic" I mean "old style gameplay" such as Micromachines or Stunt Gp, arcade and fun gameplay.
And yes, probably I'm going to make it a toycar racing game

I actually like the steering, I was pretty good with it.

I believe you did the fastest though, you're best time (In the pic) was 14:33, pretty good IMO.

Yeah, some more cars and stuff and you'll be set. Hopefully some racing opponents too. I'm looking forward to another demo.

Hehe Yes I did 14.33 but with all the beta-testing, I think none played my game as I did

Yes, I'm currently developing the AI, modifying some G-speed routines (if you didn't play my previous G-speed game you may find it here, it's Freeware!: http://www.maskedbear.com/gspeed.html ) The player will race against 7 computer controlled opponents. And I'll include a Championship, too!

Mmmm... adding a handbrake button? Maybe.. added this to the "cool ideas" list!

Some boost and items would be cool as well. I like that kinda stuff like in Crash Team Racing and Mario Kart.

@Aaron Miller: Not yet
I'm currently working a lot for my daytime job, and have a little time to dedicate to this game.
Anyway, even if by little steps the project is going on!
