When the KFC slogan 'Finger lickin' good' was first translated into chinese it became 'Eat your fingers off!'. Coca-cola translated into chinese becomes 'Bite the wasx tadpole'.
Any other translation bloopers?

When Coca-Cola was first sold in China, its erstwhile slogan "Coke adds life" was translated into Chinese. The Chinese ideograms, when translated back into English, read "Coke brings your ancestors back from the dead". This might have affected the sales.

one example of many funny bloopers

Well, In Spain "potato" its translated as "patata", in Canary islands (were I am) we say "Papa" instead of "patata" , and yeah in Spanish "pope" its traslated as "papa" ,however "The Pope" its translated as "El Papa" (male) and "the potato" as "La papa" (female) so its impossible to us get confused anyways...

Didn't they teach you anything in school?

That isn't a translation error. The eglish version is crocodile clips too. We have to be unique, you know. After all, we invented the language.
And now, from a book advising pregnant women:
When you have finished vomiting, wash your mouse out. If you can, eat, eat!

Nova its a Latin word for "new" and also in Spanish is a cataclysmic nuclear explosion caused by the accretion of hydrogen onto the surface of a white dwarf star (wikipedia), it just mean the same as English. There´s such a huge difference between "Nova" and "No vá" the pronunciation its different just notice the accent in "No vá"...

It looks like I´m talking to walls or something it doesn't mean "it doesn't go", "nova" its a word and "no vá" its other (in fact 2 words BTW), even we don't use "no vá" to say "doesn't go"...

^You shouldn't talk to walls, people might think you're crazy.

And Zerk, i posted a link to that site earlier in this thread. I even wrote the sentence there in Engrish-style.
