I am very new to all this so here is the "silliest question of the year". What software do I need to create a world ? Is 3D Canvas any
good for this ? Are there other tools available ? Do I need to use
BSP ? etc...

BTW: Is the Darkmatter CD any good ?

To make a world you dont really need anythign extra that DB or DBPro.

You can make various primatives and change the layout of the matrix so if your creative enough you can make some pretty fine worlds just useing DB

But yup there is mat Edit which enables you to designe "worlds" in a designe enviroment rather than hard codeing.
