Basil Studio,

Greetings. Nice! Very generous offering.

No doubt many will appreciate this.

They should work just fine. The only thing that you'd need to do is create an .fpe file for them.

Thanks,

Seth Black

Looks very nice basil,
Great contribution!
May I ask, the shipped game you speak of;
Is that Depths of Peril? If so, what engine was it done in please?

@Smitho

Yeah Depths of Peril (the mega size banners on my site )

My boss (Steven Peeler - Ex Technical Director of Ritual Entertainment) wrote his own custom engine.

Since we are a very small team we had to focus to bring some gameplay innovations instead of l33t graphics (no budget for that).

Great model, checked your site, you have some nice monsters, think ill buy them, I really need monster characters for my game, Im going to have to have a long look through all the model posts to find some, this one and the ones on your site are a great start

Just did a search, your models are not fpsc ready? one has to convert them yourself? Are these models the right scale for fpsc?

Id like to know if anyone has converted these models to fpsc and if they had trouble.

If these are not fpsc ready, you would make way more sales if they was.

Okay, I did some messing around with the Lich model this morning, and here's what I've got.

The lich model's texture needs to be converted to TGA (GIMP, a freebie on the net, will allow this). Once I did that, I used the MakeEntitiesFromXFiles software available on the FPSC website, set the scale to 400 (The scale should work around 250-300, but I was going for a boss type creature with this one) and a Y axis point of 190 to give it a floating effect. In the editor itself, the lich shows up, and it's a beaut.

BUT, I ran into two problems. One, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the animations to work via scripting, but I at least tried on my own. The FPI language is actually rather easy once you start looking through the other scripts. This probably connects to my second problem, which is, I can't bloody see the lich in a test game. It shows up texture and all on the editor, but when I run the test game feature, I don't see it. The lich is there, as I still get attacked, but it's not visible.

If someone could get a few scripts written to where the animations included can work and the model can be seen in the engine, that's really all that's needed.

@Basil Studio -

I've purchased almost everything that you sell, and this is a fantastic addition. I wonder why you only post in the FPSC section? Your models aren't FPSC ready, but they are Dark Basic Pro ready and there are plenty of people trying to make RPGs in DBP. Maybe you'd get more sales if more people were aware of the models.
