Nope, you cannot make it a RE4 (Biohazard 4) view, atleast, untill some one really skilled at modding edits the core.

Though you could still make it without the behind the back view.

Well, good luck on your project.

If you want to make anything sound slightly disturbing, add the word "ladies" to the end of every sentence.

There is no standard player model, there is just a camera view.

There must be a player view, otherwise what would you see the other character as in a two player game?

I have been thinking about this a couple of months back and I think it's highly possible to have this type of view.
All you need is a character and animations instead of a hands and a gun.

Instead of seeing a gun shoot on screen you would see the character performing an attack on screen.

In a multiplayer game you pick one of the available characters to play. When the others see you you will look like that character.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

You would also see your 'character' tilting with the camera view as you look up or down,it would also sweep left and right.
This cant be done unless you can find a way to attach a camera to the character as in third person, then you move the character and the camera follows.

It's not too bad if you only see the upper body and if your environment is interesting enough, perhaps one does'nt need to stand still and look up in the air too often.

yeah if you do it from mid sternum up as all you can see, its not bad, Its just all the resizing you have to do as well as distance changing in your scripts.

The idea here is first person shooter creator the important part being FIRST PERSON. I would suggest that you work with an engine that better suites your needs.

Because some engine has been given a name does that mean you have to be restricted?
Your name does'nt do you justice if you meant to be an innovator.

Ezykeyal- strong words from someone who has no idea how this engine works. This "question" has been asked before. You can not achieve this without editing the source code. You could search through a particular members posts, I think her name was "lizblizz" a few of the older members will remember her but I doubt any of you new people know of her. A lot of questions are answered in her threads.

Regards,
Dave

I have no idea how the engine works? ok...

You tell me, what's stopping someone from replacing the standard gun with a character facing forwards performing animations?
If you do just that as simple as it may sound, you have a view like RE4.
It might not work EXACTLY as it does in that particular game but it does provide with the view.

Have you any idea how this engine works?
(Don't answer, I know you do to a certain level)
