Mate, you got some awesome models there; don't spoil them by putting them together in a way that doesn't flatter them.

Athlon64 2.7gHz->OC 3.9gHz, 31C, MSi 9500GT->OC 1gHz core/2gHz memory, 48C, 4Gb DDR2 667, 500Gb Seagate + 80Gb Maxtor + 40Gb Maxtor = 620Gb, XP Home
Air cooled, total cost £160

That's all fine, the lighting is what is letting it down, hugely. None of it matches. You have this big dark street then buildings in the background being lit from above. Is the firey sky lighting up the planet or not? Then you have the alien ship on the left lit like it's made from translucent plastic in a museum almost and also the human ship which is being floodlit from all directions for some reason. The portal's a great model but the material, again, is letting it down bigtime. It needs to glow or something; last time I checked, energy doesn't cast shadows or receive them. As a result it looks more like petals.

Your models and textures are all great but you really need to look up materials and spend a lot of time adjusting them to do the models justice.

I agree with NeX, the lighting is way off, it looks beautiful otherwise.

How did you figure that out?

If I copy the logout link from the logout button and try to post it, I get this:

Ah, ok

That guy from "Da Codes" must be proud of himself! I just stumbled across two banners that randomly appear at the top left of the forum every time you load a page:

How far has this spread? My friend in Switzerland knows about it, and he doesn't even know TGC...

I know what you mean about materials lol I just slap it on one of the presets i made an thats that lol.

Ive got another day to play with it so ill play.

Ohh and ill be releasing these when were done along with the scene file.

thinking of ditching the lamp shades+ road / mayby city and just having the grassy verge lit up with a child casting a shadow. The background does look funny now that you mention it. Ill tone it down or creat a new one.

Got the cd/dvd drive and its only a cd WTF? Im fixing it anyway and slapping on xp till i get her disks.

Hmm 35hour tuna pasta taste nice

Does anyone have the heart to help out a poor lonely soul to make the background of this image transparent?

Ugh. I just spent two hours ripping footage from a home-made DVD, converting it, deinterlacing it, downloading better DVD rippers, then learning how to use the h.264 codec....I'm very appreciative of the person who helped me through the process (through facebook status comments!).

Thank God I have the patience for working with video.

Currently listening to "Once in a lifetime" by Talking Heads. It's an awesome song. Look it up if you don't believe me!

Sig test. I realized "my Twitter" sounded...well, yeah...and I supplied a link to my Vimeo channel.

So my graphics card has been freaking out lately for no apparent reason. Only sometimes, and only on certain games, but these weird horizontal glitches would keep showing up around a certain shade of sky-blue found in some games (and the Aperture Science logo in the elevators). So I downloaded the latest driver, and now I can play newer games like Mirror's Edge smoothly on high graphics instead of medium. Plus the glitches are gone.

tl;dr: Updaet ur driverz lol

Finished my General Cubism portrait From the FUTURE!

Acrylics and soft tip colours for final highlights.

Did this yesterday for about 3-4hours while i was fixing that bloody laptop. Which is now done thank f- for that lol The drive arrived and used her Vista restore disks. Her work took 3 hours to copy over, since some pic were slighly corrupt so it froze on them for ages and then gave the option to skip lol. Money in my pocket for more paint anyway.

I also found a lovely finishing off part for my lotus blade, -The white one- didnt sound right lol. Im looking for the rest of the pieces but i dont actually know what they are, ill know when i see them type of deal. I liberated this from a door at the wood yard It was going in scrap so i removed it lol.

Its perfectly balanced now, which is great for tricks.

Now im doing objective drawings to cover 1/4 of my exam marks. Im drawing ROBOSAPIEN!!!! lol this topic is fun

Back to work anyway = watching One piece ep 164.
