Alright I'm in the mood for pointless info now soooooo...

Male seahorses carry the eggs, tada

15*2(-10)= my age

You are more likely to die in a car, or a boat than in a plane.

Now for a question...

Why are there so many #1 killers, thought there could only be one.

Well you have one for each category of nomination. One award for "most reckless killer" one for "most silent killer" one for "Most kills in a row" and ofcourse the less prominent "most environmentally friendly killer".

You don't get drunk on alcohol itself but from the chemical reaction your body makes from the alcohol. Or so i've read in National geographic.

yer its true. I learnt that in science

A audio speaker has 2 magnets to control how it moves. A normal magnet and a electron magnet thats controled buy the power that comes through the speaker cable. When the power comes through the cable it makes the electromagnet react with the normal magnet. Incase u didnt know.

Speakers make the BOOM when they go in, not out.

@ Zombie 20, well the way I hear it is that the pasteurization process of milk is what makes it bad for you. Something about it causes the milk to cause scarring on your arteries and stuff like that, at least that's what I've heard. Even still though milk is fattening and all that.

Who the crap started sucking on animal teats and decided cows milk was best anyhow. Milk is so nasty. Rarely drink it anyhow so I'm not too worried about those health issues

Hahahahahaha...

Great so this whole time my drink milk "for strong bone structure" may be hurting other parts of me hahaha, oh poop. Well seeing how I'm about 70% caffiene, really..most stuff doesn't affect me, seriously I think I owe soda to some of my health dodges, I think some food combined makes you sick and by drinking nothing but soda I truly believe I've dodged the bullet a number of times.

I drink 1,5 liters of milk every day. Have done so for the last 3 years and i aren't fat, or feeling unhealthy for that matter.

Anyhoo, if i were to stand on the north pole, i would be slightly heavier then i am at my current position.

If i were to live onboard the ISS for some time, i would be a few minutes younger then i would be if i stayed on earth for an equal time.

The reason a solar eclipse happens is becasue of a super-coincidence. The sun happens to be 40 times larger than the moon, and it happens to be 40 times further away, and the moon's orbit coincides with the position of the sun, causing a solar eclipse.

A leap year is NOT every for years. It is:
Every year divisible by four
Unless it's divisible by 100 (In which case it's not)
Unless it's divisible by 400 (In which case it is)
Which means that some time around 2108 there'll be a rare eight year gap.
Leap seconds exist too, because it actually takes the earth 365.24-something days to orbit the sun, rather than 365.25.

- if you scream for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you produce enough energy to make 1 cup of coffee.

- if you keep hiting the wall with your head, you can lose up to 150 calories/hour.

- butterflies taste with legs.

- ostrich's eye is bigger than his brain

- polar bears are left-handed

- left-handed people live ~9 years more than right-handed.

- if an ant is drunk, it always fall on her right side.

from my understanding, it means that while 2000 and 2400 are leap years, 2100, 2200 and 2300 arent?

ie the leap year gap will be 2096 to 2104..

I've tried to sneeze with my eyes open before... It's very hard to do and I was never successful. And the whole eye popping out thing doesn't sound fun so I won't be trying again LOL.

I don't believe this, i know the reason you can't is because its a natural reflex. But if your eyes fell out from just a sneeze, how do you expect your face to put up with the G's you are going to experience from, skydiving, rollercoasters.
I think in high G-force levels your tear ducts can bleed, but as far as i know, noone's eyeballs have fallen out due to a rollercoaster and i seriously doubt a sneeze gives out more G's than a rollercoaster.

EDIT: But you know, i'm rambling so it doesn't really matter.
EDIT2: Also, apparently, women blink twice as much as men.

About sneezing, i've heard if you hold back a powerfull sneeze, you may break a vein.

I don't know what to think about that, i hold back most of my sneezes and i still have my blood vessels more or less intact.

LOL... as bad as it is to laugh at it. You have to admit. It is a funny way to go. But in all seriousness, my dad was working at a house that was being built. I guess the year before somewhere near the start of the job some carpenter went off into the woods to do his business and apparently died from straining while leaning against a tree and pushing his excrements out. Pretty wierd...

Ooh, that reminds me of a wierd death.

In the last place I lived there was a woman who lived in the street that would only drink a certain brand of cola. She'd have crates of the stuff such was her fear of running out.

She died of caffine poisoning!

The Mythbusters already busted that one.
[EDIT] They held their eyes open when they sneezed

http://www.energyfiend.com/death-by-caffeine/
Lol

[EDIT] Anyway, about the sneezing/eyes falling out:
-Its not like any of the air that you sneeze out can actually get to you eyeballs
-I believe physics says that "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" or whatever...
-So if you sneeze the air out one way, you head would be pushed slightly the otherway...
-If anything, your eyes would be pushed slightly deeper into their sockets (I think)

1. Matter is mostly empty space
If you think about it, on the molecular level, atoms are very small and the distance between the nucleus and electrons is very great, compared to their size. Once you get the image of the space between atoms in your head, just multiply that countless times over and you have that much space with matter.

My brain hurts.

That info is pointless...

What's more pointless...My Uncle used to work for IBM (before they made him redundant...gits)...interesting connection...maybe he knows a Hal?

Here's one for you then...Take my real full name:

'Bryn Stefan Price'

Rearrange the letters and you get:

'Britney Spear' with the remaining letters 'NFC'

I think this is also a sign, because I should found a nationwide football club dedicating to the artist we all love, Britney Spears...

Also:

The longest a Chicken has survived without a head is a couple of years...Yes indeed it is true, Mike the headless chicken lived as a celebrity without a head...It's a true case and I'm not taking the mick, Mike had the bottom of his brain left when his head was cut off and lived for a couple of years afterwards.

http://www.miketheheadlesschicken.org/

More pointless information...

'This thread is pointless'...

Why did you start it again and why am I posting in it? I thought we were suppose to hold of our pointlessness to the next girlfriends thread...well that was getting tiring anyway and pointless beyond my standards...

Heck so's this thread and what I just said!

Well known...Coca Cola is called Coca because it used to contain cocaine.

Light travels to a position that an observer is looking. Presuming you can trigger a single photon of light towards two open boxes...if you are looking in box A the light will go there but not in box B. If you look in Box B the light will go there, but not in box A, and if you look in both boxes at the same time, somehow a single photon can go in both boxes at the same time.

Atoms are all identical. You can swap all of the atoms in your body for all of the atoms in a brick wall, and you will not know any difference.

That's not true surely, the nuclei contain different amounts of protons and neutrons, that's what makes the elements different (the number of protons).

Snopes is an awesome place to check whether stuff is true.

When I was at school and the physics teacher was explaining how electricity worked I was the only one who didn't put my hand up when he asked "who thinks the electrons are moving?"

He asked me why I didn't put my hand up with everyone else. I replied instictivly "You would disintergrate if your electrons could move from atom to atom"

Amazingly I was right I dunno how I knew, inspired guess.

That reminds me of another amazingly pointless fact. When your mum told you not to sit so close to the TV because it would hurt your eyes, she wan't making it up Cathode Ray tubes fire electrons at the phosporus ont he screen and it produces small amounts of radiation (also make you short sighted if you sit too close)

Wasn't it made for people with cocaine problems? (and it wasn't made with cocaine, but coca, which is a most important ingridient of cocaine, but it's legal and it's not a drug)
- In early years Coca-Cola was a syroup, not drink.
- And it was green.
