Well, I'm having a small issue with my 96 Chevy Cavalier. I was driving it today and I was stopping for a stop sign when all of a sudden the pressure just dropped off the pedal. The brakes still sorta worked, but only at about what seemed to be 25% This freaked me out, and luckily I had started braking soon enough to compensate for this.

So yeah, if it didn't look like it was going to rain I'd be out there checking the brake lines and stuff. I'm guessing I blew a brake line, but is there any way to tell which one? I'm dreading having to disassemble every wheel and checking each one lol. I'm not into mechanics and working with cars doesn't interest me much.

I'm just wondering what the most likely cause of the massive loss of pressure was and if my guess on the brake lines being accurate.

If brake lines were leaking you would lose brake fluid.

Sounds like loss of brake pressure, normaly air leaking from old master cylinder, if you still have brake fluid.

You will often find pumping the brakes helps you to stop. Don't drive it, it's dangerous you will rear end someone

Hey guys, my dad got home and helped me diagnose the problem. Turns out theres a leak in the line between my back wheels. We're getting a mechanic to change the line, thanks for the help (GatorHex) and the comedy (Zombie)
