I mean, look at this. It's the Square Enix version of Pokemon, only more mature. I'm never buying Pokemon again, if this is as good as it looks. I mean, I'm so happy that someone besides Nintendo is really making good use of the DS graphically, in a game I want to play. Thumbs up to Square Enix.

Anyways, it's coming out in November for anyone like me who was a die-hard Pokemon fan when they were ten and has dreamed of a "Mario 64" Pokemon type game since.

It's Dragon Quest. Of course it pwnns Pokemon. I stopped liking Pokemon after Yellow, lol, with all the Pokemons above 151. Sucked. I did enjoy Ruby just because it's a solid concept, but still.

I want that DS games that is set in a city, and you control two characters at once (one each screen), it's Squeenix, and it's 2D with the most gorgeous art in the world...

Can't remember the name but it's possible 'Another World'.

No English translation yet.

You see? All the visually impressive DS games are from Square Enix.

@Roxas, From what you said it sounds like you don't like the game premise even, so I don't mean to offend, but I'll wait for the review before I decide whether to get it. I am very interested in Crystal Chronicles Ds though. I'm not crazy the battle system in FF however, so again I'm holding out for the review. Another one I'm looking at is the next main stream Dragon Quest game, which is coming out for the ds.

@Chris K, I saw that game also, and it does look amazing. I'm not planning on buying it right now, but then again I don't make a habit of buying every good DS game (money and time). Again, I'm waiting for the review.

Heh, I guess the only kinds of games I can say I'm going to get without even hearing a review are Phantom Hourglass, Fable 2 (when it come out for the pc), and Spore. I get all the portable Zelda games though, and I've already played Fable, and of course I really only needed to see one Spore vid to decide I wanted it.

oh, and the HL games.

Well the battle system part is just great in this game

Its not like turn based anymore its more like kh not so good but it works for DS So action battle system works in this game theme..

The FF3 was impressive too.. Cant wait for the KH Spinoff game (Nomura said he is going to make KH Spinoff for ds) and the FF4

There is rumoured aswell that ff7 remake is going to be on ds.

Because n64 and ds programming is close and ff7 was made for n64 but they stopped making it for it because of the size of disk(catriged) so they made it for psx..

Yeah.. And you know im Square Enix Fan Boi

Also i havent got playing FFCC on the WI-FI cuz i dont really know how it works on that game (Im not great on japanese lol..) But it should be awesome Imagine Co-Op killing hte bosses on dungeons

Tony Hawk's American Sk8land had some pretty impressive visuals, mostly because of the solid 60fps.

Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

Metroid's gotta be the most impressive from a technical perspective though, plays like silk and has some decent effects, Mario Kart also has a beautifully clean look to it compared to Mario Kart 64's awkward mixture of 2D and 3D.

Mario Kart best game on DS so far I recon, maybe Elite Beat Agents, but Phantom Hourglass will hopefully knock them both off.

There are tonnes of good DS games, and probably 10/15 really excellent ones, just needs some better FPSs (fingers crossed for COD4).

I'd like to see some original adventures as well, luckily theres ScummVM.

Sk8land, Metroid, and Mario Kart are some of my favorite DS games.
Mario 64 DS too, despite it being a launch title.

I got FF3 DS, but I don't like how unforgiving it is at times. I got to the gold guys castle, and I don't have a key to open the door I need to. It's a great game though. But it's not the kind I'd play a second time. That was my first FF game though, and I wanted to know what people liked about FF so much.

Well FF3 isnt very good rpg in my opinion its little bored and has bored story aswell.. If you look decent FF's then go with FF7 FF8 FF10 or FFCC:RoF

Oh and Chris K I have import of Zelda Aswell. And i can say its IMPRESSIVE! Grapchis are like in Game Cube version and so on.
And it uses DS Features really great

Like drawing your marks on map (You need this feature a lot) and etc..

But still it dint have the old Zelda feel so im playing more FFCC:RoF than the zelda so i guess i like FFCC:RoF more.. I think its the gameplay and story and finally game has good voice acting

Altough for gameplay i dont mean zeldas gameplay sucks its good but i dint get the old zelda feel :/

Anyways like chris k said that metroid is impressive.. It really is.. But it isnt so fun not even in wifi or wireless match.. It gots bored really fast!

Also i have Final Fantasy Chocobo Fables.. Well it isnt so good than other square enix games but it is good and playable good for killing time Its more for those who loves chocobos and like the cute kid theme

Hmm.. Yes Elite Beats Agents is great game aswell. It has good sound quality and really enjoyable even with ds speakers

Hmm.. Other games what i have tested/played.. Oh yes Mario 64 DS Really impressive remake of Mario 64 and is really worth of buying even you have beated mario 64 many times cuz this has some of new features that add more fun into game.

New Super Mario Bros.
Its good game also but dint catch me up..
It barely dint use the stylus at all and was like any other ordinary Super Mario Bros. (OMG KOOBA CATCHES PRINCES!!) (OKEY REVENGE!!) .. And maybe i have played the old ones too much

Jam Sessions
This is AMAZING! If you play guitar or you dont know heck of how to play it this is for both of those types.
It plays with really good sound quality and the guitar sound sounds pretty impressive (Still havent tried with extrenal speakers)
Only thing what i dont like is that it has quite few songs and they are little slow based.. But anyways this is really good for you who like playing with guitar or who wants to learn play!

Hmm i think thats it! I cant think any more games.. Oh YEAH WAIT! lol..

Animal Crossing : Wild World
This is for all who likes life simulations like me..
It really beats out sims or other life simulations because it has the personality and the style is great!
Also playing with friends is great addon too.
All i can say is you dont rule this game The game rules you!

(There is mole who says you this.. "You think you can do anything you want just because you own this game! Huh!?)

Well anyways.. My fingers hurts!

Yeah, agree with all those. I haven't dared get Animal Crossing because I have heard it devours your life.

The best games are (no order):

Mario 64 DS
Metroid Prime Hunters
New Super Mario Bros
Picross DS
Mario Kart DS
Elite Beat Agents
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Justice For All
Advance Wars Dual Strike
Animal Crossing
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Children of Mana

Haven't played the last three, just going on reviews.

Oh yeah Children Of Mana and Advanced Wars : DS

Thanks for reminding me

Yeah I cant tell much about children of mana cuz i havent played it much but it feels a good rpg!

But Advanced Wars : DS

Well this is great game but i dont recommended it for those who dont like hard games.. Cuz THIS IS HARD! YOu must use lot of stragety when you move on.. When i played the last maps i was like HOLY ****!

And yes this is good and really fun with a friend.. only Minus is that it doesnt support wifi.. And thats why it gots bored after beating the game.. But if you have lots of friends with ds then its fun for long time

My List

01. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles : Ring Of Fates
02. Zelda : Phantom Hourglass
03. Animal Crossing : Wild World
04. All Castlevanias (JUST AWESOME!!)
05. Elite Beats Agents
06. Mario 64
07. Advanced Wars : Dual Strike
08. Final Fantasy 3
09. Final Fantasy Chocobo Fables
10. Children of Mana
11. Metroid Hunters
12. Jump Super Stars
13. Nintendogs
14. Mario Kart DS (Got bit bored but its Great!)
15. Full Metal Alchemist : Dual Symphony
16. New Super Mario Bros.
17. Pokemon Diamond (Still same boring pokemon..)
18. Dragon Quest Monster Joker (May buy the english version)
19. Burnout Legends (DONT BUY!!)

Note : This is my game list! NOT FAV ORDER!

That list every game is GREAT! Expect Burnout Legends.. Really dont buy it.. Its so crap that well umm.. yeah..

Anyways.. The Dragon Quest may grown to my fav if i buy the english version because i think the japanese lang was the reason i dint like it.. But first i save money

Full Metal Alchemist : DS

This is pretty good.. But so short so i dont recommend it.. Its pretty bad game actually.. But because im fan of series i wanted to play it.

Castlevania : Dawn of Sorrow

This game should be on everyones DS Game list.. The visuals and the 2d have been produced really awesomely! And the Castle.. ITS HUGE! So even after you beat the game you have lots of things to find on castle.. (It has 3 endings.. So dont think you have beated the game when you get first ending This tricked me)..

Anyways Great GAME!

About the other castlevania (dont remember name)

I havent played it yet much so i cant tell about it ..

Jump Super Stars

Well first i tough this would be cool game when i got import.. But it really wasnt.. It wasnt even close the smb. (I tought it would be similar to smb) And the anime characters were all lame to me

Etc.. It is pretty bad if you ask me.

Nintendogs

This is pretty awesome too.. It has good grapchics and the gameplay is great.. The sound reconizer is really awesome too! The game really reconizes your commands easily when you say them on microphone!

Burnout Legends

Its bad! Dont BUY!

These games will rule your life, World of Warcraft has nothing on the addictiviness of these franchises..beware that beautiful silver DS, it will take you over if you let it, but when has that been such a bad thing huh?

The best driving game I've found on the DS is Ridge Racer, it has that classic RR feel which seems to work well on the DS. I have NFS Carbon and it's pretty good, but the DS is kinda under-powered for it I think.

COD4:

...is gonna be huge!

Drawn to Life, that's one weird game! - you actually have to draw your own character and stuff.

We're going down... in a spiral to the ground...

It's pwn, and it's normally pronounced "own" (it was originally a typo).

You can't get the staff...

Actually they never were. The original name was Square. North American localization was done by SquareSoft. But I always liked SquareSoft.

Children of Mana is a mediocre game at best. And I'm the biggest Mana series fanboy ever. Its just a dungeon crawler, and the only thing that makes it worth playing through is multiplayer. Which can only be done with local WiFi.

I'm working my way through Heroes of Mana right now.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Star Fox DS? I loved that game.

Have you played the Rocket Slime game? That's had pretty good reviews I think.
