Iąm new here and I have several questions.

1. How to use PNGs including their no-transparention (after opening and pasting image, it has white background. It shouldn't)

2. Are there any tutorials about using GUI with DB(P) ?
I'd like to create graphic interface (chat place, equipment, status bar etc.) for my game, but I just wonder - how...

For all supportive messages - thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

1) If you want to have transparency you need to set the background of your image to an alpha channel. You can do this in Photoshop or Gimp. How you do it depends on the version you have (just check the help files).

2) There are a bunch of dlls that you can use. I use BlueGUI. But there is a way to do with the regular DBP commands. Here is a tutorial by TDK about making GUI: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=106004&b=10&p=0

If you want a complete list of TDK's tutorials go here:http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=99497&b=10

TDK knows what he is doing and his tutorials are great for beginners to DBP and programming in general. Check em' out!

Hope I helped!!
