@RalphY: Does this mean vista supports different background images for different screens? As far as i know you can't do it with XP without add on software.

I haven't done it, but my Nvidia tools allows me to have different screens for each monitor. I have XP.

Mine - Wallpaper is from FF7: Dirge of Cerberus of course. The theme is one of those XP - Vista themes that doesn't eat the ram or use external software.

Yes, multi-desktop support is supported provided you have more than one monitor natively in Vista. This said I hope that it is expanded to how the NVIDIA XP drivers have it with nView.

Was a great system that could be done in so many interesting ways on Vista if it were to be built-in to Aero, but ho hum.

Hate cluttered desktops, distract from the awesome backdrops I have

How can you keep things organized with all those shortcuts? :/

I don't have a desktop wallpaper, I think it distracts me.
Instead you get to see the forum I'm currently working on.

Seems everyone else has already answered for me but...
Quote: "Yes, multi-desktop support is supported provided you have more than one monitor natively in Vista"

it is? I couldn't find an option in the Personalize control panel, so I ended up using a program called UltraMon. Wish Nvida would stop being lazy and release a Vista version of NView, working drivers for VIVO would be nice too.

@Raven: Is that Silent Hill 3 fan-art? looks cool, though her face looks a little different.

It's the special edition artwork, you get 6 peices, a screensaver, handful of movies chroniclising the series and the bonus music CD

what I love about that particular peice is it uses the game media but still looks fantastic. absolutely love Silent Hill 3 though, the others in the series were either too distant from the storyline or just far too preachy.

SH3 just dropped you in, and made you figure everything out without leaving you no way to defend yourself. think I carries that iron pipe as my primary weapon for nearly half the game in all.. was just so useful.

Nice and neat? I got tired of downloading crap to my desktop and never removing it so I'm making an effort to have things as organized as possible now.

Not yet :p. That's just some concept art, however I plan to make similar if not better for the actual game.

Here's my background... My utterly flawless desktop image however got wrecked by compression. Boooo. This is how my desktop looks on the days I feel organized. Clean and neat, and on a 22" monitor she looks cavernous sometimes

My alarm clock application is running purely for advertisement in this shot. You can download it for free at the website in my sig

You don't need add-on software to put a different background on each screen on XP.
All you need is to get two wallpapers, put one beside the other in Paint/PSP/photoshop, save as one file, set it as the background, and set it to Tile instead of Stretch.

Yeah thats all the UltraMon app does, but I'm to lazy to do it myself. Plus it adds a few other neat features like moving the applications taskbar tab to the monitor the window is on.
