Geek Culture / cant change monitor resolution

I changed my resolution to 1920x1080 to watch a movie, but now when I try to change it back to 1920x1200 it won't work. I get a black screen but with a mouse cursor. Any ideas?

Try lowering your refresh rate, then change the resolution.
I had that problem on a CRT back in the day... For whatever reason, it would do 1024x768@75 fine, but dropping it back to 800x600 required me to change the refresh rate to 60!

If not, update your graphics drivers, then google for the problem
