i got one question on modeeling...

How do u texture each seprate part of the model like on a table...

the legs one texture the top a diferent texture

the enttity makers doesnt help with that or i just dont kno how to do it

1 model can only use 1 texture.

And the style depends on what program you are using.

And entity maker is only for making X files FPSC ready.

yea i kno

i make the model through Milkshape and then i take it into the entitiy maker and then texture it... but waht i wan to kno is:

is there a way to make the .x file textured b4 i get it into the entity maker? so i can texture certain parts of the model?

Yeah but you have to download a UV mapper i guess.

Never used Milkshape so dont know how it works with UV's.

I don't think you understood what Cheese Cake was telling you although I thought he made it pretty clear.

The texturing of the model must be done in the modeling program that you are usung which as you said is Milkshape. You will obviously have to read any documentation that came with Milkshape on this subject or search for Milkshape texturing tutorials.
When your model is finished and textured in Milkshape you will then have to 'export' both the model & the texture, in '.X' format.

Then you can use the model in Entity creator.

OK cool thats clear enough and I dont really kno how to use a UV mapper im just starting in modeling... im in a class with 3ds max 6 and im going to start useing that

I export my models out of Milkshape and use an external UV wrapping program (UV mapper is free).

Please have mercy and use the search function.

Yes, UV Mapper will be a good way for you to start.
