I can connect my server and a client when they are on the same side a my dsl routers firewall...but when I try to connect a client from outside the network...I cant connect to the server...i know its the darn firewall...So what do i do...when I set up the connection in the client program do I add 198.234.45.100:5678 <---a port number. Is it any number? Is it different for each client? Sorry for all the questions...thx in advance..

not a clue!, when I was testing a simple multiplayer my mate had to shut down his firewall to get it to work, but my firewall could stay up and was no hinderance, so it may be down to whatever firewall you use, mine is one of those that asks you about all incoming/outgoing data, some try to guess what is/isn`t allowed and get it wrong, try checking the blocked list or whatever it is you have on your firewall.
