Hi!
I'm pretty sure you all have played a game that has an intro
that the logo of the company that wrote that game is coming to the screen
very cool, like BattleField 2(Example, not real) smashing against your screen.

I would like to know a program that can make this. Please not 3ds max, as I know it exists

Thanks!

-Jeff

I'm afraid pretty much all these logos will be made in some 3D package or another. Be it 3DS max (like you mentioned), Maya, Lightwave, Softimage XSI or Cinema 4D.

Ok, thanks. Could it be done with Anim7or, because it is only an image...?

Well your best bet is Blender. As you will be wanting to render the model etc. Blender is free and has a quite remarkable list of feature for the low low price of:

£NOTHING

But it does have a massive learning curve. If you get over it, it will probably be well worth your time invested in learning it if you have great need for things like renders and game models.

Thats if you want an animated logo btw.

If you want a still logo just download GIMP. Its like photoshop, without the price tag and fewer features.

Thanks!

A lot of the modern games have intros that are rendered in real-time with the game engine.

That is true, but it is very hard to do so without shaders and so on...

The intro to Return to Castle Wolfenstein was awesome. Too bad the game was mediocre.

The game wasn't that bad for it's time.

True, I was thinking mostly of the story. Pardon me for being unclear.
