when I was making a game, on one of the compiles, all the images were white, not the 3d-textures and not the text, just images. I couldn't debug the program, but when I ran it again, it worked, then the next time I ran it, it didn't. I didn't change anything in the code between the time it worked and the time it didn't. I noticed, after running the game several times, the images were showing every other time. I couldn't find the problem so i put the game on hold. Now when i tried to play RollingFury( from the Aegia competiton) i get the same problem every time i play it. What is the problem here? I think it's DirectX, but, I just want to know how to solve it.

You're probably running out of texture memory.

Do you have a cruddy graphics card?

Try closing some windows or rebooting.

DirectX is as updated as it can be. Come to think of it, my graphics card is a peice of internal garbage(that's the kind that's hard to replace). Maybe I should upgrade it.

If you have on board graphics and it is sharing memory maybe you set it at a low level to stop it stealing it? result = low texture memory

Normaly you can change the amount of shared memory it uses in the BIOS or in the display properties.
