If it is "Full Time" why does it take 3 hours+ for posts to appear?

No matter where you go, there you are.

Because, as you said in your title, it's called "Post Approval".
This means that it has to be Approved first.

There's only so many mods, and only so many hours in the day when we can approve them. Be patient, go out and play in the sun, and it'll all be ok.
Nothing is that urgent.

Because all posts when under approval must be validated by moderators, they aren't online 24/7.

I understand the "approval" part. I had assumed mods were from all over (the planet) so there'd always be someone who'd get an IM or something when a newb made a post. I'm in Asia at the moment.

I had most of the afternoon free and had planned to post several screens of my new level, but could only do the one because the new thread wasn't visible the entire time I had availible. Wwwaaaaaah!

EDIT: Oh cool! The new post is up now!! Yea! Thank you, Whoever!

Full time in this case probably means that it's in effect all the time. But I think all mods are from Europe or US/Canada.

Australia here, mate

There's basically Mods from almost all major timezones, so, in theory there should be a mod checking.
But, we only check occasionally, and not all of us are here every day, and not all of us are checking for posts that need approving all the time.

Like I said, it's never that urgent. You can wait a day if it takes that long. And if you can't, use the time to do some proper work rather than posting on forums

Ok then, what about this? Australasia isn't a continent. The continent of Australia is in Australasia however. I don't really think it matters anyway, some define it differently.

Well whatever it is, it's Grandma's fault you're arguing, so why waste the energy on each other when you can beat him up?

Quote: "Take That!"

You forgot to finish that sentence, let me do that honours - '-are a terrible boy band and should have been shot long a go, I mean at least before they tried to reform...!'

As for the Australasia vs Australia argument, then my primary school teachers must have got it wrong, they told me it was a continent, but I don't deny that Ben is right, it's what I was taught, but if QI has taught me anything, what you're taught isn't always completely accurate (or true). Well I'm going to say it's like USA is a continent but Canada and USA are in North America, or something like that, or is that stupid and wrong?

Well whatever, like Ben said, it doesn't matter, so I should shut up now.

If they got paid to mod the board, then yes, that would be expected to some extent, however, it is all volunteer work. They don't HAVE to mod if they don't have time or don't want to.

Oh nay, it would be mental. Physical would be if they were sent a record of their actions my mail and each account was a two hundred page post in pt. 5 font and they had to read each one and write a summary and then sign it and send it back to the TGC for review.
