Basically, what everyone is trying to say is:

"Make sure your mental insurance policy is active."

@Aikicat:

You can add me to MSN if you want.

I can give you help on programming, just drop me an e-mail, or MSN message.

Also, I'm starting to get better at composing game music- so if you wanna share samples, just drop me a message on MSN.

If theres one thing you need to know about me, I'm that guy who's been working on that secret MMORPG that nobody actually beleives is getting anywhere for a few years now

Wow Nickeh G must feel so loved, 55 posts in just over 12 hours. Shows how friendly and mentally unstable through the posts we've made we all are . Also goes to show that if you don't come in here acting like a stereotypical noob, we won't treat you like one .

What would you expect, Jeku? A topic that starts discussing me in the second post is bound to become large.

Ha Ha! No, you guys haven't scared me off yet. I'm much harder to scare than that! (You should see the people I actually interact with, now there's a wild bunch!) The only reason I got off was cause I had to go to bed. When I made that post it was 5 in the morn and I had to wake up for work at 10, so I figured I could use at least 5 hours of sleep before my long day of work and after that, college. I usually get out of school around 8 to 9, and then my computer time is from 10pm-2am, or however late or early I head to bed.

I'm sure people are gonna ask what I am attending college for, so I'll tell you all. I am currently enrolled at Edmond's Community College (it's in Washington state) for CIT (Construction Industry Training) and Music classes. You're prolly all wondering why I'm in CIT and not a computer oriented course...wellll.....

The programming/graphic arts field is unfortunately filling up quickly, cause it's the job everyone wants (especially game design). I also wanted to keep my passion, which is art (whether it be musical, graphical or mathematical) separate from my professional life. That way I can always enjoy it as a hobby, and not a job. Onwards!

I'll try to whip some 3D models or something as examples of what I can do, as for music stuff, I am limited to MIDI right now because I am awaiting a new soundboard (my old one hit the dust, it was a "Realistic Analog Mixing Console" from 1984). So until I get a new mixer, I can't get any lines into my computer to record the guitar, bass, drums and vocals. But I will be getting it soon!

I am also working on putting together my website (it's going to be my personal portfolio), so when I get that done I'll be sure to give you all the link.

And thank you everyone for your helpful advice on the forums! Good to know so I don't get eaten alive or brainwashed and whatnot!

I am sure I will enjoy it here!

Maybe Nickeh is short of Nickola or something, and they've been glued to forums so long they can sense a girl from over 10threads away.

We loose more girls around here that way.

Ok, so I decided to try and start a model to show you what I can do. So I got out my notepad and got to work drawing a monster. After that I began the modeling process (I was gonna take pictures and show a WIP but I didn't feel like going through the hassle ). Unfortunately, I'm tired (it was a looong day) so I don't think it turned out great SO FAR... This is an uncompleted model, if I have time I will work on it some more tomorrow, and hopefully finish up the mesh and rig it. If I am lucky I may even get to at least start the textures. So, without further ado, meet "Hershey".

So far it has taken 1 hour and 56 minutes (yes I timed it).

btw, in case you were wondering... usually this board (geek culture) is the one that turns inane and (insert something much milder than crazy because i don't call geeks typing at their keyboards crazy... how about frivolous ).

for the most part the other boards actually show signs of intelligence

That model looks like that weird white and pink monster from the weird well level in Ocarina of Time.. well, reminds me of it anyway.

its better to announce yourself than just pop up saying something like
"You're talking crap!" out of nowhere, that would be rude. Introduce yourself first
