What duz it mean?

Not even a strait suit, you, caramel, the recycling bin, uber code, and chuck norris combined can keep me safe from me. Mostly cuz I exist.

You will have to provide some code man.

It means it's broke from a nested subroutine, and it cannot resume the program after CLI usage.

Ohh, the good ole RE1.

It's programmers speak for "You need more sunshine, go outside and play for a bit"

But on a more serious note, but Zotoaster and INH have valid points.

We wont be able to tell you until you supply some code

Well, either that, or INH's answer will have to do.

No. Not what it means in my code. WHat it actually means. Like if it said an error like 'Invalid Variable Type' I would take it to mean soemthing like the variables a string, but Im giving it an integer.

Its hard to explain what it means without seeing the code, errors messages like that are a bit to cryptic and not very easy to explain without the error producing code.

Poor some jam in the CD tray, and sit on it for 5 hours shouting "Cache Cache go away, come again another day".

In this particular case I would suggest the use of custard instead of jam.

Theory is when you know something, but it doesn't work. Practice is when something works, but you don't know why.
Programmers combine theory and practice: Nothing works and they don't know why.

Try feeding mashed potatoes to the DVDCD-drive and talk dirty into your microphone. If problem persist, try talking dirtier, or perhaps heat the mashed potatoes slightly (not too hot, they don't like that). Still a problem? Well, you could always try turning the screen off. That way you won't witness the problem, and according to some areas of science, if you can't see it, it's not there, Ergo, fixed.

Happy to be of help.

It means an error has occured in a function. Run it using F5 instead and you'll get an actually error message. The ironic thing is that debug mode is useless for debugging because the error messages it provides are WORTHLESS.

Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

I would suggest pouring copious amounts of petrol into your computer, then lighting a match.

Pop it in the microwave for a few minutes. That ought to do the job right.

Thank you NeX the nearly fast Ferret! Man, I didnt know about F5 mode. The normal debug mode debug things ARE almost useless.

ok. I get it. I was being a noob by not showing code. The reason I didn't want to show code was.

I. Because the code was from a game I planned to sell.
II. Becasue I wanted the answer to not need code to see the problem so if I got it somewhere else, I could fix it.

Standard debugging procedures are probably a good idea. Although I can probably guess that your code is not worth stealing.

That's not as bad as you think you said.

A real programmer wouldn't steal it, because one of the first tips in programming is not to just take code and stick it in. The only people who would take it are noobs, and, being noobs, would find no real use for it.

Very well said, Zotoaster.

If you have a problem, just post the section you believe is causing the error, people will help, and I assure you they won't steal the code.

If you're really worried, think about it from the "theif's" point of view. Considering you only post up the section causing the error, they won't know what you're actually trying to do, nor will they have the rest of the code to make this section work.

Consider this... everyone has stolen code. Copy & Paste is what keeps programmers nowadays from having to remake the wheel everytime they want to make a new program! But what's really going on is they packed it all into easy-to-use libraries or functions, or even hidden the code behind a developing language created by another language! (*cough*DBP*cough cough*)

It's how YOU make the program that makes it yours. I think the only possible way for someone to steal your code is if you're already finished with it and ready to sell... THEN they take it.

I'm sure you'll get along great with that .
Honestly though, as the above have mentioned no one is just going to take a chunk of your code and be able to steal your game idea from it.

Aye but an error message like that has little meaning without the code to put it into context.
