I've recently ordered a computer from HP only to find out that they couldn't assemble my computer due to 'an unforseeable error'. So, I've decided to check out Digital Storm. They've got some good reviews on their service, and they have great prices, so I wanted to know if anyone here has any experience with them and whether or not I should order from them.

I dunno about Digital Storm as I've never used them, but I have used IBuyPower.com to build my laptop. I love the product and their services. I recommend them if you'd like to look for another option.

Don't want the fun of building one yourself?

Haha, this is for my family and I don't think my parents trust me making one for us.

Ya. Right. I'm supposed to trust the women that didn't know what a monitor was to make a computer I'm going to be using??

But seriously, my parents would never make one themselves. They'd be more likely to let me make one, however unlikely that may be.

I've built a few PCs now, it's so easy. Just be gentle on the parts and ground yourself.

Okay, you guys are really encouraging, but I don't have the time to do it myself. Not only that, but I'm not kidding when I say my parents won't trust me! I know, you guys might find that odd, but my parents aren't gonna trust a kid my age to build a computer that's costing them a total of about $1400.

It can be cheaper if you build it yourself.

Maybe. Most likely if he buys a prebuilt system he's also getting a copy of Vista Home Premium. That's, what, $300? Add that onto your custom build price. It will probably even out the savings

@Dink: When you get it with a system it's usually OEM, which is loads cheaper, probably under $100, so I doubt that's it

That's true I suppose, never really thought to get an OEM version of Windows, though I did know they existed...

Trust me guys, I'm probably younger than you think, and while I know that I could build one myself, my parents would never trust me in a million years. And we bought it two days ago anyway, so it's too late to build one. I'll probably build one when I get my own in about a year or two.

I don't know there are quite a lot of young programmers on here... I got DarkBASIC for christmas when i was barely 13 and I'm pretty sure there are people on here younger than I was...
