ALIEN ORGANIC ENTITY PACK

Following the nice messages I've received concerning this work, I've decided to make a pack to sell.

After some hard work, here's final model listing:

- Alien Capsule (to put some entity inside -or not- check first screen)
- Alien Egg Small
- Alien Egg Big
- Alien Egg Small(dynamic, explodable)
- Alien Egg Big (dynamic, explodable)
- Alien Pillar type 1
- Alien Pillar type 2
- Alien Pillar type 3
- Cracked Egg
- Cracked Egg x 2
- Egg Nest
- Alien Nest (floor)
- Vein Model (horizontal)
- Vein Model x 3 (horizontal)

It features 12 static models and 2 dynamic.

The pack will be supplied with a 512x512 hi-res texture, plus two: Normal Map and Diffuse, these two supplied for those who wish to use them in FPSC. The default pack will use only the main texture.

Thanks,

Alimpo83

PRICE: 4 €

Nice and nasty
Are the reflections on-texture or shaded?

So if these entities are organic, does that mean they were created without the use of pesticides or antibiotics?

All kidding aside, they look really good. I like the shape and texture.

...on-texture, no doubt, pigs can fly. That texture looks a little familiar, somehow.

@alimpo83,

I like the look you've got going there. Kudos. Please keep up the good work.

Thanks,

Seth Black

The reflections are on the texture, but I've uvmapped in Anim8or so that the texture followed the model I made, achieving better effects. I have a normal map for this, but haven't been able to use it, don't know why. I'll have to try again, I guess.

A new screen with a small mod on the original model. Since the simulated reflection part of the texture is white, when a different coloured light is applied, it seems it affects the reflection also, ahem... better take a look!

And Seth Black the texture remembers Quake IV or Prey. Loved them both

And another variation. I'm currently testing a lot of simple variations on the models, that bring diversity with a low poly count all the same.

Cool textures, would look good on an 'alien type' egg.

I hope you sort out those problems you are having because I would love to see what you do with these textures.

All the best of luck

If youre making these for a scifi game then it looks cool, but if its something to go in a forest then redo your textures.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Yep, thats the one.
I must say that these textures work 'very' well when applied to all kinds of shapes, they have a real nice natural moulding effect.
Well done so far.

Here's another test, with a new texture, but not adapting the model to the texture, it's the first one.

Here's a nest for the eggs!

Continues to be lowpoly, of course, FPSC friendly.

Very cool, I don't want to be around when the eggs start hatching.

Nice work, I would like to see some of this stuff set up in a room or scene.

Best of luck

Thanks, Ross tra Damus.

I'm currently testing the eggs in game, achieving the same sort of effect that your get in Prey, where you push the eggs then fire them to get an explosion. I'll post some screens later.

Well, two family photos, with what I've done so far. I think I've done a pretty good job so far

The Eggs are static here, but can easily be changed to dynamic, of course.
BTW, I'm preparing a cracked egg.

Nice images.

Just to let you know, I have just posted some entitie re-textures from Model Pack 2. Four of them have an 'organic' type texture which you might like to take a look at.
They will only work if you have Model Pack 2 though.

All the best

BTW, what about reviewing my work, for a change?

Orrion Carn I use only the best freeware: Anim8or for the models and GIMP for the textures. I've used them for quite some time now, like 2 years or so. Then I export to 3ds and convert to .X . Finally, I'll use entity maker to make them FPSC ready.

Are you sure you are at liberties to sell the texture? If it's the one included with filter forge then im positve you can't sell it. You'd have to create your own from scratch.
