This is some really good stuff, stereo mixed and that's good. Your music lacks a bit in deapth and have a slight MIDI feel, making them all sound a bit the same and a bit flat. But it's great value for your price.

Hmm, have I commented on your music before?

I have a little request for you. Would you consider letting me use some of your music on an exhibition in February? It's held in the north of Sweden with visitors coming form Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia (it's the grand finale of a big EU project). The expected amount of visitors are around 1500 including press etc. I will exhibit my software and I'm going to put togheter something playable, something a bit artistic. I could make good use of your music and you will be fully credited with name and URL in my booth and in the game. I'm hoping to release the game as freeware afterwards.

Ohh! "Illusion of the tower" sent chills up my spine, good stuff

@DA - What tracks were you thinking, if its a one off thats fine so long as you keep my credit....The reason my tracks lack a bit more depth is because most of them are for my music packs, im trying to make them fit into more varied games so I have to keep the sound quite universal, if I make it too much in one direction it might limit its use a bit, if that makes sence.

@Zombie20 - Thanks for your comments. My album is being pushed back in release but in favor of my Action Music Pack which is moving forward. So far the Action Music Pack is some of my best work so I wont disappoint,

I haven't decided on a song yet but if I can use one of the songs from your site, without a cutoff at the end (I can do with a short version as long as I can loop it), then I'll be happy. I'll decide on a song when I have decided on a game and what kind of artwork I can get

With depth I mean a form of sound "quality", your music lacks a bit in depth compared to what you find in an average professional game. If you compare MIDI (flat) to a professionally recorded CD you get what I mean with depth.

Oh are we talking about the use of samples over a real orchestra?

I heard Fight Sequence before...where? It was on this forum. It sounds like something out of WarRock.

Your music is great! What do you use to make it?

EDIT: Raise the Shadows is amazing...

I've heard some really good music made using samples, it's rare but there are those who can do truly amazing stuff. I mean really mind blowing stuff. Well, all I'm saying is that your music is good but lacking in "sound depth". I think it's all in the mixing using a proper amount of stereo effects, echoes etc. But I'm not a composer myself. I knew this guy once who had 32 channels constantly running in a regular tracker program and it sounded really professional.

Of course using a orchestra is the "easy way" But then that kind of music have a distinct orchestra sound to it and personally I think it only works with a few games. You can get great sound out of real instruments but you still need to mix it properly to achieve great music. Using samples only limits you to what kind of music you can do, not really the quality of it (as long as you have good quality samples).

The application of effects is a very artistic choice, I personally think my mixes are of a very high standard but with all art it cant appeal to all.

The reason I use orchestra is simply because the large amount of energy and emotion it can produce. The orchestra can fit is pretty much and genre of gaming if you ask me, how its applied is the trick. I hardly ever use pure orchestra as I find classical compositional rules very limiting, I try to be a little different.

ughhh, Digital Awakening, i'm very against much you've said here, such as orchestral music being the "easy way" and his music sounding like MIDI, (what the hell dude?) , but the sentence i quoted makes me the most angry. try to actually think about what you write.

Junkrock: Nice song! i love it. I'm looking forward to hearing more music from you !

I think you are misunderstanding me again and I don't know how to explain myself any better so I'm just gonna drop it.

Lucifer:
The only reason I can think for your reaction is that you are overreacting a lot. All I'm saying is that DaZ makes some good music but I've heard better and I want to help him out by telling him what can be improved on.

in my opinion, they're not limiting enough... have you heard some of the experimental junk that's being released as 20th century classical music? apparently serialism counts as classical music (in the general sense of the term).

Each wave of classical music has challenged what's come before; there's such a big difference between baroque and classical, or classical and romantic (all of which are generally defined as classical by modern listeners). Pure orchestra can do a lot.

But that said, sounds good mate

EDIT: listening to Epic Of Z Music now; can't hear anything here which couldn't be done with at least as much effect on traditional instruments (sounds like a hybrid)

Thanks man,

When I speak of classical composition im talking about the fact that classically trained people believe that real instruments should be the main focus, in osme universities for example they dont even touch on the added bonus of electronic instruments for certain moods...which is good but they should teach about all forms (some classes now do!)

oh right man sorry I thought you were talking about composition as in like the actual notes used... I mean, you're probably not going to get a classical composer writing things as dissonant as Psyopus but you can get a lot of chromaticism... There's that whole "you've got to know the rules to break them" ideology and stuff

But yeah I listened to all of the rest of your stuff... It sounds really good for a game... I especially liked the Stealth one - very Deus Ex

Do you plan a fantasy music pack any time soon? I might be interested in buying one, and perhaps that action pack you got going, for my company. It would be nice with music for all those fantasy locations like villages, forests, dungeons etc.

RPG fantasy Something you can throw into any fantasy styled RPG and it sounds just right. You have a lot of these in your play list under various categories, like your 2 RPG songs, Farewell Dreams, Dragon Wrath/Illusion of the tower (they sound very alike) etc.

BTW, you sig says £8 for the horror pack but your site says £12

Your music is really good for the price and if I buy them for my company it's really quite cheap. I might as well throw in the Horror pack when I buy the other songs

It's been reduced to 8 because of the music board for people on here, hasn't it?

Yup its £8 from the link in the music forum! However its only going to be £8 for a limited time, so snap it up while its cheaper!

Ill def consider a Fantasy pack. I might be doing some mind collections in the future like 6 tracks for £5 how does this sound?
It would be more frequent and I could switch genres each time.

You could always release smaller packs first and then offer 2 or more for a smaller price. That's pretty much what TGC is doing with Dark Matter (except that they release a bunch of stuff in 1 package). 6 for £5 is still a good price if you ask me.

Do you have a VAT registration number? That would make buying from you easier, I think. I have to check up on the tax laws.

The only way to pay is via the server provided in the link which accepts major credit cards or paypal transactions, the VAT gets covered on this end.

Ok, you're using a "reseller" that processes the purchase. The reason I'm asking is that I need all the papers in orders for my firm.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I just realized how poor the sound quality in my headphones is, I'm also using a laptop (I'm used to it)
