Hey guys I just got Dark Basic Professional, and threw together a quick chat program. My question is what's invovled in compiling the program to work on another computer? first time I tried the .exe on my 2nd computer it crashed with an error. Then I downloaded the new patch, recompiled the program and threw directx 8.1 on the 2nd computer. Now the program just closes down with no error. Is there a DB runtime file I need to copy with the file or what? thanks for help in advance.

Ensure that your second computer also has up-to-date video drivers. Other than that, I couldn't begin to guess what is wrong.

what was the error before you installed DX8.1 and patch 4?
