Aussie cake has cow pies, to put it blunt.
Australians like eating cows in every type of their food, especially cake, and especially every part of the cow. Even it's pie that seems to be abundent in Aussie-Land.

Y'gotta be careful with any food you eat there should you ever visit. But that's mainly for their cake, possibly not tho. FYI.!"

Go get a life mate. You think pies are abundant in Australia? Bah, we invented the bloody meat pie for all I care, I have tonnes in my freezer.

Watch the food in Australia? Where are you from, because if it's the USA, I better watch out, your 500KG body might squish me.

Bitter Lemon is big in alcoholic drinks here.
You get a Lemon Lime & Bitters with Vodka - Tastes great - Just like the Bitter Lemon with tang and all, but gets you nice and smooshed off your face

Here in Kablam land?...

Personally when it comes to fruit in alcohol, I'm a right fan of those alcopops. Just like my favourite fruit drinks, but gets you off your ***s by the end of the night Plus Guiness and black tastes like milkshake. Bloody gorgeous. Must have one of them again...

Yeah

Me and a friend had some vodka with a cheap lime soda and fresh pressed lemon juice. No ice though but it tasted great I'm not much for alcohol, don't like beer, but I do enjoy a good cider, we have a Swedish brand called Halmstad (from the city with the same name) that I really like. They even served that brand at the hotel on Sommaröy in the north of Norway

BTW, I can't drink Dr. Pepper. I have yet to meet a person that doesn't either love it or hate it I was on a LAN party and by accident I bought 2 Dr. Pepper instead of 2 Jolt Cola, both cans are purple. AAAAAAAH! The awful taste of that first sip. So one can in the trash (nobody wanted it) and one exchanged for a Jolt (and more money spent for that 2nd one).

@Jess T
Lemon lime and bitters + Bacardi white rum always hits the spot a bit better then its vodka cousin IMO. Give it a shot next time your out.

But then again nothing beats a fresh pot of Ice cold beer straight of the tap. (Shameless VB plug)

If I can't find a store here in the states that sells it (Bitter Lemon), I may have to get one of you guys overseas to send me some.

Why do we have garbage to eat and drink here in the states, and the rest of the world gets the good stuff?

I spent 3 years in Germany when I was in the Army (Mannheim); I loved the bread/brot, especially when it was hard on the outside and soft on the inside. I used to crack a piece open and scoop out the soft insides. I also grew fond of german wine as well as the beer. Then when we'd go out to eat, you weren't given obscene portions of food (like they do here in the states), it was just the right amount. Usually when we went to different ethnic eating establishments, we were served by that ethnic group (ie., Italians at an Italian Rest., Vietnamese at a Viet. establishment, people from the UK at an Irish Pub, etc.)...you don't get that much here. I had my first flaming dessert at the Italian joint (strawberry ice cream with a banana, then poured a cup of flaming liqour on it!).

I only saw 1 overweight German while I was there....totally contradicting the stereotype we have over here. I think there's a lot of things that we can learn from our European counterparts, in the areas of health and eating. Not to mention all the bike trails (paved) throughout Germany. We don't have that kind of extensive network in any "whole" State; let alone the country. That would be a great start to helping our overweight population (of which I am a part of) get into shape.

I do like Frozen Coke though...the kind you get at a 7-Eleven.

Depends on what you want. I absolutely love Cinnamon for instance, but the amount of food with it is very rare compared to the states (unless you order online). Probably all to do with supply and demand etc. Those cinnamon jaw breaker sweets we have are pretty good though.

Also when I used to go to Germany I loved the place but at the time (about 10 years ago last time I went) they were rubbish for crisps. Some law or other about flavouring. It was plain, ready salted, or some meat flavour, and that was it. Totally sucked.

Quote: "Not to mention all the bike trails (paved) throughout Germany"
Oh, yeah, I remember they were pretty cool like that. Britain not so good. Doesn't help though that a load of back roads are like based on ancient lanes, so bit hard to expand etc. Ireland is pretty good. I remember most of their main roads had bike lanes. Was useful for cars to use on single lane roads so someone faster behind can overtake

Yeah Germany pwns...man I wanna go back...Ich liebe deutschland! Uhh, well I'm going to be making yearly visits there now anyway...I mean their Wacken festival blew my mind.

Of course there's not forgetting their vast range of Haribo...so much more variations than us...and Fritt, you gotta love Fritt amongst other things. And Keith as for the bread I know what you mean, their Gas station quality is like our top quality stuff, so I'm sure that says something.

lol...whoops...uhh...well that's what happens when you don't buy the album, see them live at a metal festival in Germany...well, I suppose I guess that's good enough of an excuse Accoun...if not then go ahead, please call me an idiot.

Didn't help that you said power metal either...when Sacred Reich isn't power metal...agh! I think I made a fool of myself there.

Anyway...which are these two power metal bands? before I say something stupid again like Megadeth who like Sacred Reich aren't power metal or German.

I left a can or root beer in the freezer once, meaning to go back for it in 20 mins, forgot for 2 days. nest time I opened the freezer, the can was all puffed up, and there was frozen gunk all over the freezer. I wanted to see the inside of the can, so cut it open. Hold on I'll find the pictures I took.

EDIT:

here they are

The best one is a bottle of beer that was left in my mates - Forgot over night (as usual when you're partying, you put it in to get cold, then forget)... In the morning, pulled it out still in one piece, but it had exploded.
The top half was connected to the bottom only by frozen beer - looked absolutely wicked

Not liked their old stuff, but they're nice with Owens... I like "10.000 Strong" and "Setian Massacre" from their new album - "Framing Armageddon" (only songs from their new album that I have, and yes I know it's not relased yet, and yes I've got them legally)

Yeah I was going to get their new album the other day...but I thought ouch! on the price (I'm budgeting), I saw Best of Saxon for £8 (with 53 tracks) and I thought 'bargain!' Plus I've been meaning to get other new album's like Therion's Gothic Kabbala, Symphony X's new own and Dream Theater's.

Anyway, I think we're going off topic here dude.

So uh...Frozen Coke, what's up with that? I suppose it makes it heavy therefore more expensive and saves dealer's money - plus it's safer than mixing it in with glass...ohh...Coca Cola, my bad.

Haha, we tried to get it requested last night by the DJ, but no...He decides to be racist against Iced Earth fans...

As for the album being the worst - does that mean it's crap or it's the kind of worst like In Flames' 'Soundtrack to your escape'? Where it's the worst, but rules at the same time.

Anyway yes, probably best to just answer the question and I think we'll leave it at that as I highjack too many threads these days.

So what happens if you eat Mentos and drink coke at the same time?

Edit, just looked it up on Wikipedia... sorta the answer I thought.

Quote: "

Deaths

In November, 2006, the Urban Legends Reference Pages examined the rumors of people dying from eating Mentos and drinking cola. Their research found that while eating Mentos and drinking cola can result in people regurgitating the foamy result (as evidenced by numerous online videos), no actual news accounts exist of anyone dying from it.[2]

On Mythbusters, it was shown that Mentos and Cola do not have enough gas to make your stomach explode. The worst might be stomach aches, bad gas or burping excessively.
