Hi there !

im creating a new character model. But i cant animate or rig another biped. The model is untextured also, got problems with my
modeling program.
Thats just the barebone model. nothing special, but if someone wants to help me, ill give the model away for free. cant do all the work on my own.

Its kind of a mutant human.

He's going to be difficult to rig because his arms are out straight, instead of in the first pose of the stock biped.

What? That's got to be the silliest thing I have ever heard.

It is far easier to rig characters that have their arms out. I thought you would have known that Butters. Since when has a biped been ridged? You can move the limbs to fit the model, thats what most artists do.

I need Dark AI before I can use FPSC X9.

i thought thats the standard position for animating characters.
never seen model with the first frame arms down.

someone interested in rigging ( maybe zombie biped ) and getting the
UV`s ? I would texture it by myself. ( Normalmap, specular, diffuse )#

And when its done, i`ll release it to the community.

PS: If this works well, i will release more models

The T-Pose is the standard for character rigging so that the mesh will bunch equally when the arms or raised or lowered. However, for FPSC .fig and .bip files, it may be easier for some people to model the character based on the biped's layout rather than adjust the initial pose. Either way works of course.

I doubt that.

Yes, I realise that it's far easier to rig them like that. I just figured MrFlowerkohl would be using milkshape to rig this, and therefore would need the model in the neutral pose.

make his hands, into a blade or something, that way it makes sense, otherwise why no hands. Also a loin cloth would be bettet than trousers.
