Hello im new to FPS Creator, and i was wondering if there was a way that i could model my own models in MaYa and import them into FPS Creator and use them for my own game.

I am not the expert. With maya you will need to install the direct x sdk to export the model out to x. Another option is to download deep exploration and that move the files to deep exploration and then export out to directX

Then you will need to uv the model and create your texture. Then you will want to download entity maker from the fpsc website.

That is the basics.

Jeremiah is almost right.

If I were you I would use Maya's UV mapper to map your models. It is far more advanced than anyrthing you will get in lithunwrap or milkshape etc.

THe direct X exporter for Maya stopped being supported at 6.5, there is an exporter for 7 but it's buggy as heck!.

If I were you, I would buy yourself a copy of milkshape(very cheap), then when you finish you model in maya you export it as obj (not animated) or FBX (animated), then import that into milkshape and export as a .x from milkshape.
