Newcomers DBPro Corner / Images for backgrounds!?

Alright this is a newbie question

I've been trying to get DBP to use an image as a backdrop, but every time I load any 3d objects the BG turns blue and covers my cool little image. I've tried various things like 'draw to back' and stuff like that but to no avail.

Need help..I feel blonde all over again.
