Cept maybe Linux-Bios, it is possible to swap between bios of the same chipset - but you'd have to recopile some aspects for the particulars.
BIOS code quite frankly isn't too much more than the UI, and then basic memory access areas for the interupts, dma, etc. Although make that sound like it is like changing a lightbulb, it does take way more experience with low-level programming than that.
Still with Flash-bios now being standardised it is quite simply to tinker, provided you don't mind potencially loosing the board or screwing up hardware be incorrect accessing. That said provided you setup the system to always check say the A: drive on boot for the default BIOS image checksum and reflash that then you'd golden.
