Hi. I am creating a character in Blender 3d for a game in FPSC.

I have made the 3d model, given it the arms and legs and fur so it looks how I want it to look but I have no idea where to go from there.

I know that it will eventually need animating and then brought into FPSC via the FPSC official entity maker but I don't know how to animate it or if anything else needs to be done.

Plus, I don't just want it talk walk and attack you, there are other animations, like sticking it's head through a door, or falling through a floor that I need for my game but I don't know if it is possible.

Does any body know of or can recommend a good tutorial to show me how to do this. I have tried the search function but haven't found anything useful.

Thanks

The best way to grab a tutorial is to visit the blender community or tutorials page. you could also try selecting the help menu button in blender and then selecting "getting started" that is probably your sure start way of figuring it out. Blenders animation process is fairly simple.

Cheers,
Dave

I have found a tutorial on creating and animating a character and am following it. But, my question is, in Blender, if I was to create my character, textured and giving it an animation say a walk cycle, do I then just export it and then run the file through FPS Creator entity maker?

Or is there other things that you need to do?

I think blenders animation and .x exporting is a bit jacked up still, you will have to try it out. The next best thing would be to get character studio and just rigg your character int here.

Where can I get character studios and are there any tutorials from it?

My Blender on my PC has just recently completely packed in so I can't finish animating or texturing the model (I need help on the texturing though if anyone could help, thanks) so I might try and get character studios, learn how to use it and bring in the file of the sheep character into character studios and animate it from there if I can.

Thanks.
