Anyone tried it? Any good? Stable?

I'm looking at setting up a webserver for me to play with.

I'm waiting for the 3.5GB DVD download to finish now, quite a nice server I'm getting it from, 700-800 KB/s.

I had the option to use centos when I setup my webserver, I called tech support for some questions and they recommended redhat fedora core instead (at no extra cost). I took their advice as they are the ones who field all the calls and have a good idea which one people like better

Though of course cent os could in fact be better than red hat, I have no idea.

Cent OS is a recompile of Redhat.

To be more exact, Cent OS is a free version of Redhat Enterprise Edition. By default it's setup to be more of a server system than Fedora, but apart from setup there's no huge advantage, Redhat Enterprise is popular because it costs, but you pay for support.

I haven't been able to get it installed yet. After trying for about 40min, same error kept coming up on irq 169. Ran the setup with some switch option to disable something to do with irq and managed to get through the initial setup. But it locked up at 11% during the format.
