I resent that. Which AUP have I violated. And what is so non-geeky about asking about an OS thingy. I really fail to understand the lock.

Geeze man, I don't see what's wrong with the post. I REALLY, REALLY fail to understand. This is bordering on Suppression of Freedom of Speech especially since I haven't violated any AUP
Did you try renaming a New Folder, "con". It doesn't work. Is that a legit geek topic or not?

If you're referring to your 'A con trick, an OS fault or neither?' thread - It was locked because it had absolutely no context, nor content.

I'm sure the mod locked it (not me) was simply sticking to our new 'strict' policy on trying to keep the level of rubbish posts down in Geek Culture.

There's too much spam on this forum as it is, we don't need half a dozen posts a day from you as well, please consider other people on this forum who'd probably rather not read this stuff.

It was me who locked it, and I'll keep locking this stuff with no explanation, it's not personal, we just need to clamp down on this stuff.

We're going down... in a spiral to the ground...

You don't have any kind of 'right' to post here. This forum is provided for free and is subject to the discression of the Administrators and Moderators.
We can ban you for life (ie, not let you post) if we wanted to - You have no 'right' to not be banned.

you neednt violate the aup for a mod to lock a post.
locked.

usually you wont acquire a slap or ban without an aup breech, but again its not a prerequisite.

"Free Speeach" is something that used to exist in constitutional contexts. Even when it existed it didnt apply to this forum, or any forum by default. Its up to the site owners to decide what is allowed and whats not.
