Okay I was thinking about people could make new dogs for Breeder's Life. There's only one problem, how could I make a list that shown the characters to choose from, and once you choose it, it loads it into to DBC?

store the filepath in a string variable, then load using the string

Not really what I want, here is what I need.

A Directory That Dogs Such As

Dogs/Default/dog.file
and then you could create dog art and create a directory such as,
Dogs/My Dog/dog.file

Then automatically DBC reads the directories, (I know that one) but reads the file dog.file and retrieves the name and sprites that dog has in that directory.

Understand where I am coming from?

Take a look a TDK's file selector. If you know the extension of the file you want to find (dog.whatever), you can set a filter of that extension and the file selector should only display that type.

hmm maybe I miss understand you but it seems like I solved your problem? If you need other files than just images then add them into the case statements.

@OBese: Yes but he wants user creatable dogs.

Maybe have a dog creator thing where you load in whatever image you want to use, and anything else you'd need.

Like have an entirely seperate programme or incorporate it into the menu or something. Have the user input the dog name as like a unique name and then the location of the sprite they're using. Then store it all to a text file and read from the text file. That might work...
