Basically at the start of the level it would play a sound (radio). But i dont want the player to leave the room while it is playing, so, how can i make it so i can use a remote door, and after a certain amount of time (duration of sound file), it opens the door?

thanks,

-Lewis

make a new fpi script and paste this into it:

change the xxx to the sound you want played, and the second xxx to the duration you want to wait before the door opens.

make a remote door called rem1 or something, and then put rem1 in the trigger zone "ifused". it should work.

Sorry bud, but many people are busy with their own stuff. I would have given the question 24 hours for an answer, but hey- you did it on your own so great job!

He said, "You drink when you're lonely." No I drink when I want!
He said, "You'll never be sober." Sure. Why would I want that?

Lewis, the script thread is the least traveled on the forum for two reasons. Many people can't script and many more don't care to learn.

Urlforce is right. I'm sure one of the guru's would have dropped in before long, and congrats for getting it done and sharing it. Nice work.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Yes, it is very true that not many people come in here.

As of late, I have been actively helping others around here.

I usually come by twice a day to reply to any "help needed" threads.

And, trust us, expecting an answer within 3 hours will more often than not leave you disappointed. Sad, but true.

Thanks for the reply, however that post was not needed.

the threads purpose was for me to find the solution to my problem, and since I have found the answer, there is no need to bump the topic back up to the top again. I have found my answer, so let this topic rest in peace.
