People keep stealing mine, pissheads coming home from the pub usually so I tend not to bother most of the time. I used to make a load of them with the boy, he loves halloween, these days we usually just watch some classic horror films to celebrate, I especially recommend Pumpkinhead .

We now have an Angels party at our house. People are more afraid to find everyone dressed in white appearing out of the fog when they come a knockin'

that definitely wouldn't work in my neighborhood.... it would be too much like a certain other orginization from the past (i'm in the USA, in a predominately "african american" neighborhood)

Just had the best halloween ever

numerous parties, trick or treating with the folks down the road like for the last few years, loads of stuff happening... all of which I missed because I was stuck at work 5-10 tonight, the highlight of which was undoubtedly CLEANING UP ALL THE ****ING EGG ALL OVER THE ****ING SHOP! GAH! I'm in a wee bit of a vexed mood now. And I'm out of beer. Where's my vodka gone?

Decided to go a bit over the top with this one. Did it with a steak knife! Sorry for the poor pictures - I used my ageing phone to take them.

Dude, are you like a professional pumpkin carver?

If so, what do you do the rest of the year round, because I imagine there's not so much demand for them in the middle of summer and the like.

Do you use them for all your festive decorations as well, just because you can? Carve little ones to hang on the Christmas tree and give your mates chocolate-coated pumpkins at easter and the like...

Was a quiet year for Trick or Treaters. I didn't get more than 13.

I guess the Coronation Street special kept most of the mums in doors.

I don't believe in it either but you have to get on with people in your street and it makes the kids happy.

Thanks guys. That was actually my first try at a more complex design. Previously I have only done generic traditional type ones. The pumpkin came courtesy of my father-in-laws allotment.
I will try and come up with an even more extravagant design for next year . The pumpkin harvest in the UK this year doesn't seem to have been very good so I hope to have a bigger one next year for easier carving.

I hate trick or treaters. Because the trick over here is mostly commonly is steal your pumpkin you spent time making. That or its the classic toilet or egg throw.

Oh, yesterday was hilarious. We did get some trick or treaters, but they couldn't get in, because they couldn't find our door. It had mysteriously vanished.
Seriously, it's round the side of the house, where they didn't think to look. Their faces when they couldn't find it were classic.

There were some cool pumpkins at pews with pews carved in (about the 5th or 6th pub I went to tonight)... I liked them. Mind you I was so drunk I would have thought a pumpkin with a shotgun hole through was a work of art.

What am I saying... I'm still that drunk! It's only 3 in the morning and I only got back about 20 minutes ago...
