Hey guys,

After scouring the forum, it appears there are a myriad of reasons why models imported with the entity import tool don't work / float / have no texture, etc

So if you're getting probs, here's a little checklist i've come up with after two days of trying to get them working, and finally cracking it (touch wood!)

-> Has your model got a skin/texture? If not, add one in your model editor.

-> Does your model have a lightmap? If not, again, add one in your model editor.

-> Has your model been scaled up/down? If so, it may have a tendancy to float, or submerge below the floor. Resize in the model editor, and try to avoid the scale function - it's rather buggy in my opinion.

-> More floaty problems? I read that the very first skeletal bone needs to be located near the model origin (usually 0,0,0).. Doesn't have to, but it removes another floating possibilty.

-> Is the model too small to see? In this case, again - scale up using your mod tools, and not the scale function.

-> If you're still coming into problems, try deleting everything in your entity/user folder, backing up all your existing files and importing with an empty folder.

If you've still got probs after these, then i'm afraid i don't know anymore yet, but i'm sure there's some clever bods who do.

Laters!
